Kucherov was only $38k per point this year.
Cost Per Point - CapFriendly - NHL Salary Caps
Point, Marner, Guentzel were all under $10k/point
Because they're on ELCs.
I was wrong!Couturier at 4.33 million for the next 3 years. Tied for 9th in ES scoring the last 2 years while being a Selke finalist. Proved that last year was not a fluke.
For the Winnipeg Jets:
1. Mark Scheifele ($6.125 M) until 2024- one of the best contracts in the NHL
2. Nik Ehlers ($6.0 M) until 2025 - underrated
3. Adam Lowry (2.916 M) until 2021 - very underrated
Don't know what a less than 30 points 3rd (now 4th) line C at 3 millions is doing in a "bang for the buck" thread.
Don't get me wrong, he is a fine player, but he does not belong in this conversation.
Players like Klingberg (#1 D at less than 5 millions per), Kucherov (league MVP at less than 5 millions), Domi (more than 70 points C at 3,1 millions), Couturier (#1 C at 4.3 millions) Arvidsson, Josi (the whole damn Nashville team but Subban), etc. are the kind of players we are looking for.
OP didnt say that. If the thread is truly about best bang for buck players then probably only players on ELCs should be talked about, but I dont think that's the OPs point of the thread.I missed where OP wrote that ELCs were disqualified.
