Why doesn't Wilson get this consideration?

LOL... "watch where you're going..." yes, blame the victim
There’s actually quite a few people out there saying Sundqvist shouldn’t have cut through the trolley tracks with his head down. Except in that case it was his what, 12th game since coming back from a hit to the head suspension. His 4th suspension in 105 games. Wilson did get this consideration but it doesn’t matter due to his history.

Because the league sucks and adhere to sponsors and shit who don't like hockey in the first place and thus is scared of "goonery"? I mean, the NHL has become a joke when it comes to hits. Reviewing this and that, get a clue and stand up for your teammates if the ref doesn't see anything wrong with a hit.

How they handle Wilson is exactly how they threw out Kaleta from the league aswell. He could barely get a hard hit in without people screaming for murder. Like the Loui Eriksson-hit. It was Eriksson's own fault basically but Kaleta got thrown the book for the reason that "he's a goon and we can't have those pests in this modern era".

Well f*** the modern era then, i wanna watch some hockey.

It’s not “victim blaming” when it’s actually the fault of the guy getting hit. Berglund went for a clean hit, and Chytil turned and put himself in a dangerous position a fraction of a second before the hit came, because he wasn’t aware of his surroundings. Berglund did everything in his power to deliver a legal hit. The difference between this hit and the Wilson one is Wilson drove up high. Berglund stayed down through the body.

It’s not interference. Here’s the applicable rule.

Rule 48 – Illegal Check to the Head

48.1 Illegal Check to the Head – A hit resulting in contact with an opponent’s head where the head was the main point of contact and such contact to the head was avoidable is not permitted.

In determining whether contact with an opponent's head was avoidable, the circumstances of the hit including the following shall be considered:

(i) Whether the player attempted to hit squarely through the opponent’s body and the head was not "picked" as a result of poor timing, poor angle of approach, or unnecessary extension of the body upward or outward.

(ii) Whether the opponent put himself in a vulnerable position by assuming a posture that made head contact on an otherwise full body check unavoidable.

(iii) Whether the opponent materially changed the position of his body or head immediately prior to or simultaneously with the hit in a way that significantly contributed to the head contact.

48.2 Minor Penalty – For violation of this rule, a minor penalty shall be assessed.
48.3 Major Penalty – There is no provision for a major penalty for this rule.
48.4 Game Misconduct Penalty – There is no provision for a game
misconduct for this rule.
48.5 Match Penalty – The Referee, at his discretion, may assess a match penalty if, in his judgment, the player attempted to or deliberately injured his opponent with an illegal check to the head.
If deemed appropriate, supplementary discipline can be applied by the Commissioner at his discretion.

Berglund is good on all 3 counts there too. He didn’t pick the head (i), and Chytil turned immediately before contact and put himself in a dangerous position (iii) where head contact was unavoidable (ii).

"Left shoulder right to the head."

Where do you say Berglund hit him? And how can you say "Berglund went for a clean hit" - you have no idea of his intent. All we have is video of his hit to the head, which speaks for itself.

LOL - Berglund lowers himself a bit to maximize his hit to the face. He hit him right where he intended.

Have you not seen the video yet? See the OP. It's quite obvious.

Wow, you're not good at this. Wilson had all day to not headhunt Sundqvist. Berglund literally had Chytil turn his head into Berglund's body, as the majority of people here easily see. But hey, Wilson apologists gonna talk nonsense like always....

Probably because Wilson usually comes in from the blindside to try and injure guys. Berglund is coming into the corner from well within Chytil's periferies.
