For those keeping track at home, Sexton will be the 6th player from the 7th round of the 2009 draft to play in the NHL. Other notables include Erik Haula, Jordan Nolan and Nic Dowd.

Also he played in the CJHL, anyone know what league that is?

Yes. so did Steve Yzerman. Same team even.. different year, although you might have guessed that. Lot's of ottawa area kids play in the CJ to try for scholarships in the NCAA or just because they couldn't make the OHL. You do not lose eligibility playing tier 2 Junior A as you do playing in the CHL.

BCHL is widely regarded as the best tier 2 jr A hockey league in Canada

Sexton abandons top-6 scoring minutes in Belleville to play 10 minutes a night of 4th line lunchpail duty in Ottawa.

One of the kids in Belleville will get increased minutes and responsibility in the AHL because of this.

I'm fine with it.
