Yeah, it's such a bad look. We rip our customers off just as much as the next guy. Why are you crying?

It's pertinent when the owner suggests that he's doing something special for his customers. He's not.

I'm not crying. I'm righteously criticizing. It's a goddam feminine hygiene commercial.

I find it hilarious, borderline pathetic that people complain about food prices. Guess what? Dont eat there if you're cheap or cant afford it.

Also, if you dont go because you think "you will teach Molson a lesson" , you re sadly mistaking. There is and will always be someone who will be willing to go.

Ive had my season tickets for 20 yrs. Theres is still,to this day, years worth of a wait to get season tickets. And i still gladly shell out tens of thousands a year for them. So, I,for one, am happy to see the food upgrades.

I wont even get into the business side of it, because if you re complaining about pricing, odds are, you arent business minded at all. Hockey is also a business and in short, a business should always increase quality and value to support high prices vs cutting prices on marginal products.

So much whinning for nothing. Whine less about prices-make more money.

very dumb post.

the goal of fans going to the BC is not to help Molson make more money... most couldnt care less if he starved to death.

I don't care much for opinions like these. I guess most people consider me as someone with means, yet I find your post appalling. For one, striving for other goals than money is healthy. For two, accessibility is something I've always hoped society as a whole values, even for entertainment.

The vast majority of fans aren't wealthy. None of them chose their socioeconomic environment or the abilities they had that could translate into money making skills. So yeah, they can complain, even if out-of-touch people like you don't like it.

New food is great. Lower prices is better.

I agree, some sort of discount for the mass on at least regular concessions would have been a nice PR move if anything.

Personally, being an average fan, my fan experience food wise at a game would be greatly enhanced by a reasonably priced ordinary hot dog and cheeseburger.

Makes you wonder why they call them "concessions".

They never concede on anything.

I once went to the Oktoberfest in Munich a long time ago, when I wasn't drinking in one of those giant tents I went and saw Bayern playing soccer and they had real bratwursts, things like weissewursts, bockwursts and wieners. All with natural casing and 100 percent meat according to laws from many centuries back. That feeling when you bite into a natural casing and it almost explodes in your mouth. They also have cheaper seats in Germany if you are are a soccer fan, it's like a third of what you pay in England.

How much is a season ticket in Montreal?

I always wanted to experience Oktoberfest in Munich.

Is it a one time thing? Or is it something you'd do again?

Also, what's it like in terms of general behavior? Isn't there non-stop drunken partying going on with a lot of unsavory public behavior? All part of the charm, as I understand it, lol.

What in the world are you rambling on about? Hopes for society? Socioeconomics? Save the socialist speech for someone else, or as you say, someone who cares for your opinion. This is about business, and money. Not other goals. You can strive for anything you want AND make money. You dont have to choose.

Im very much in touch. Seems your reality is distorted though...

Everyone can CHOOSE to study or do something to make a better living. I wasnt born with McDavid hockey talent or some other great gift. Its called hard work.

My family came to Quebec with 10$ in their pocket and didnt speak a lick of french or english and made a good living in the long run. I have been paying my own bills since i was 14, worked 2 jobs often enough, including school. Im making a good living now too because of it.

Problem with society is people are self entitled. People want everything for nothing. Chumps like you are the reason people think like that, because you preach socialism over logic and reality.

You have two choices in life, be like you and complain and settle for the fact you werent born into royalty,OR you can get your buttt to work and make sure you can pay top dollar for things, including entertainment.

So yes, stop the whinning about luxury prices, at a luxury event (live sporting event). Some of us are more than happy to receive more quality for the money we are paying.

Improving the fan experience is definitely a topic I like hearing that Geoff Molson is focussed on, and executing on.

Winning hockey games is not something he can directly control, but ensuring fans have a great time watching his product and loving the arena experience is something well within his control.

Really?!

He’s the owner, he has final say, and is definitely responsible for on ice product.

Last time I checked, nobody goes to a hockey game for food, they go to watch their team play.

This is an owner with flawed priorities. The only fan “experience” that exists is watching the team win or lose. The food is irrelevant.

“Dear fans, if our team sucks this year, which is a strong possibility, then I’ll make damn sure what we have the best food in the league!” Is what he should’ve said...

In short, make more money guys so you can foolishly spend it on a mediocre at-best sports team. Amazing logic lol.

I guess I look at it like this.

You have a fixed number of seats and as long as the demand is there you can keep raising the prices. You might actually do better if you raise them so much that you even have some empty seats, but we know the Habs dont want empty seats , but whatever.

As to the concessions, that is different. And yes people go to see the game, not to eat the food and if it's too much money for you, fine dont buy it. But, if you lower the prices and still make your profit by increasing volume, then your fans are happier because they were able to have a burger and a couple of beer instead of just one beer. So making your money and having happier fans makes business sense to me. Obviously I dont know how the numbers would work out if prices were lowered, but I wouldnt be surprised if the Habs dont either, and just go by what other teams charge.

Either way, it's not a big deal to me, I can choose not to spend. If your hauling kids though it would be annoying because the kids want to have something to eat during a game.

looks like you are very impressed with the size of your own wallet. Doubt anyone else is.

lemme guess, you have been paying top dollars for a shit product for YEARS and you're proud of it ? really ? you feel the urge to tell us Molson is stealing your money ?

and you belittle people who arent stupid enough to pay 10$+ for some of the worst beer in the world ?

"this beer tastes like shit but I can afford it! yeah baby!"

Seriously, Francois Pignon, is that you ?
