It's shocking to me how insecure George Harrison is about his guitar playing. By this point in the bands history he rips.

Compared to who? Clapton? Blackmore? Malmsteen?

I read longtime Beatles engineer Geoff Emerick's book Here, There and Everywhere over xmas. It is a good companion to this is and provides a lot of context to it all as well. He is totally biased towards Paul (which I think I sort of am as well) and has some strong opinions on the others in the band.

Although he isn't in this film, he went back for Abbey Road. It is a good read and is fun to listen to the tracks as he explains the process on them.
