One of my favorites must be this guy:

Jorgen Andersson DFD - a big Swedish black guy drafted in the 7th round (194th overall) in 2016 draft. Potential started at 7thD but at the age of 25 he's elite and 87 overall. Some attributes wort of mentioning: Passing 97, offensive awareness 89, slap shot accuracy 95, speed 92, shot blocking 98.

I once drafted a C named Jeremy Henrique in the 4th round...I forget what year.

He started off with top 9 potential but ended up hitting franchise potential and is now a 93 overall on my team.

Drafted a French Canadian LW named Phillipe Perreault. He was drafted 1st overall at 19 years old, 91 overall, Medium Franchise potential. He was up to 93 overall as a 20 year old to start his rookie season.

He was 91 overall when you drafted him? That's probably the highest I've heard of.

Even with top line and 1st unit PP minutes, unfortunately he's only progressed to 95 overall at age 26. He's still ridiculous though. He plays like a carbon copy of Ovechkin as a right-handed shot, 6'3" and 210 pounds.

I drafted a Finnish center 5 years later after this BEAGM. Petri Junilla. Drafted 30th overall (won Cup the season before), 66 overall, 18 years old, 5'10", 170 pounds with medium elite potential. Next offseason he's 77 overall with medium franchise potential. By the time he turned 21, he's a 97 overall and plays like a Finnish Datsyuk.

I drafted Johnny Garnett 1st ovr in 2037 and he was a 91 with high franchise potential. In his first year he had 71 pts, didn't win the calder or norris that year somehow and he progressed to a 93. In his second year he had 76 points and won the norris and progressed to a 98 ovr. In his third year he won the norris with 92 points to lead the league the league. Then my file ended

I've gotten extremely lucky in a few trades and the draft....I'm playing as Montreal and the trades I made for the following players were all minor league trades as the players were top9-top6 and all unsigned.
The following 3 players were all drafted by me. I'm especially happy about the way the Goalie turned out :yo:

Here are the two player I got lucky with in trades.

The first player Bruce Madsen I got by trading a Bottom 6 81ovr 22y.o. minor scorer along with a Bottom 6 64ovr 5th Rd. pick

I can't upload the screenshot of Madsen right now.....my first time uploading pics and I guess I'm at my limit....when I can I'll post the two players I traded for Madsen and Baldwin

the worst part is I already have a Franchise Goalie that I drafted in 2019 to replace Price and he's 96ovr and 29y.o.

Think I may have drafted my favorite prospect in NHL 16 just now. Year 1 with the Canucks I made a trade to acquire the Blues (SC Winners) 2nd round pick and 7th round pick. The 2nd rounder was pretty normal, a top-9 potential center, but my 7th rounder was pretty surprising. Lawrence Li, a medium top-6 potential DFD drafted last in the draft. There's probably better finds in the 7th round out by now but maybe not for year 1 and the last pick :D. Now hopefully he doesn't lose that potential and actually makes the NHL.

I drafted this Polish sniper #13 James Dalton with the 30th overall pick in the 2024 draft. 5'11, 185 lbs, LW, left shot. Pretty sure I auto drafted him. Not sure what his starting OVR was but he had Yellow 4 potential.
Signed him to a 3 year ELC for $0.770 M at 20, and let him marinate in the AHL for 2 seasons
76 GP 19 G 37 A 56 P -1 +/- 32 PIM 9 PPG 0 SHG 132 S 14.4% S% 2 GWG
76 GP 17 G 43 A 60 P -10 +/- 39 PIM 7 PPG 0 SHG 171 S 9.9% S% 2 GWG

So he's now 23 and at 83 OVR. I've got a pretty deep team, so I was considering trading him letting him sit one more year in the AHL, but then I made some trades and the only place left for him was the 4th line RW on the big club where he stayed for the whole season, wearing #43 for Ottawa. He played with an 83 OVR TWF C and an 84 OVR PWF LW. He also got time on the 2nd PP unit.

82 GP 31 G 26 A 57 P 13 +/- 19 PIM 9 PPG SHG 0 156 S 19.9% S% 7 GWG 909 TOI

Tied for 7th in team scoring, had the exact same G A totals as a 2nd line LW on the team that saw PK time and no PP time. That player's icetime was 1,386 mins (actually a three-way tie for 7th in scoring with a defenceman who had 2,065 mins, #1 on the team). In fact, only two other players had less icetime during the season than Dalton.

What a scary sight that must be, having the depth to have a 30 goal-scorer on your 4th line. His linemates scored 30 and 26 points.

Not someone I drafted, but I created some NCAA players like Tuch, Connor, Boeser, etc. and placed them on their respective teams. Pretty normal overalls to start (low 70's) and reasonable potential (high top 4). Five seasons in, Alex Tuch is 99 overall, just had an INSANE two season stretch where he scored 70 goals and then 81 goals the next year. Next closest goal scorer had 52 goals, which I think was Patrick Kane. Unreal haha.

One thing I've realized is if you create a player and put them into BeAGM they will have RIDICULOUS shot totals.

In my Winnipeg GM Mode I drafted Patrik Laine 1st overall (I edited his potential to High Elite). He was doing okay for me, around 60-75 point seasons when his potential suddenly turned into High Franchise and he became 99 overall. In the same GM Mode the Sabres had a 96 ovr C (Don't remember his name) and a 98 ovr defenseman Owen Ranger who had a 100 point season and won the Art Ross. They also still had Eichel, Reinhart and everyone else.

I had this LEGENDARY GM Mode in NHL 14 with the Leafs. I played 16 years with them. The 2015 draft was insane. There was 2 franchise centers McDavid and Eichel and 2 franchise goalies Tuukka Smura and Zack Bowman.(They were all 5 stars) I had the 2nd and 3rd picks. As expected, Buffalo chose McDavid 1st overall. I took Jack Eichel 2nd and chose Smura over Bowman because he's from a city that's really close to my hometown :D Eichel became 99 ovr and Smura 97 ovr and he won the Vezina like 10 times in a row. I rebuilt the team for like 5 years and went on to win 7 Cups in 11 years. I had players like Eichel, Smura, Kane, Gaudreau, Kadri and Rielly who were all amazing for my dynasty.

I've noticed I made my player I made as a 2 way Dman who was high top 6 potential and he always turns high Franchise. He also as a D-man picks up more goals than sniper forwards.
