Whatever my criticisms of Sweeney and Neely, I was fine with the acquisitions of LS & JML, and it's pretty clear -- even after just two games -- they will help stabilize the line up. The Bergeron line will be better. Getting the puck out of their own end will improve.
And, as I noted elsewhere, JML eats minutes Z or DS had to assume previously.
*And* Connolly is right where he should be. That fourth line (BC, NA, LF) will be interesting to watch. It could actually be a significant upgrade for this team.
I'm intrigued.
