You should see the latest players survey.

They polled to ask about the dirtiest players in the league.

On my mobile so I can't link.

Marchand and Subban top the list in that category. Kadri isn't even on it.

Wouldn't have surprised you if he was on the low end of the list though right?

Face it, Kadri is a bit of a d-bag - what he does with that reputation going forward is totally up to him

On the subject of perfect officiating, what should be the number of penalties called in an absolute world?

176? Less than 3 a minute?

Something for the officials to aim for

Eazy, when you call those hundreds of minors in those youth games, and the team runs out of players to put in the box... what happens? Do parents sub in....?

One of the most exciting hockey games of the year was Canada's loss to Finland at the most recent WJC.

There were plenty of penalties called, didn't seem to hamper the fun of the game. If anything it enhanced it due to the increase in power plays (and by extension increase in goals scored). Maybe the NHL officials should start calling more penalties we'd likely see an uptick in offensive production.

So why focus on Kadri, when players across the league, including multiple of his teammates break the rules every game?

Who was Babcock speaking about in the OP? When there is an article about Morgan diving we can talk about him. When there is an article about Bozak floping like a fish out of water we can talk about him... see how that goes.. :D

If there is one thing that says exciting hockey is a game full of diving slashing, hooking, interference and power plays... if we are lucky maybe we get a skills competition at the end of the game... how exciting!

"More" is still subjective. 6 or 10 or 100 is irrelevant if things are let go. That opens the door to bias (or blind hatred I can never figure what the rallying call is).

Call it as it happens is what the guys want.

Homegrown players like Bozak rarely dive if at all. When a player develops with you, that nonsense is eliminated.

You can teach him to play the Leaf way.

There are certain exceptions to the homegrown rule but it's nice to have a homegrown player that has sportsmanship.

Clearly Kadri is just misunderstood, he's not a diver he's just weak on his skates, he is not a d-bag he's just mis-type-casted, he's not a poor shooter, his line-mates are poor for 7 years running...his linemates didn't make the All-Star game, Kadri made them into an All-Star.. he is the worlds most misunderstood man.

And baring Stamkos and his 14m deal, Kadri should become the highest paid Leaf.

Didn't you hear? Bozak's choir boy routine is so 2015 ... the new 2016 hotness is diving and cheating... all the kids are doing it...cheat to win is the new motto.

..I can't wait for Kadri to teach Stammer how to play 1st line center because ya know Kadri did an amazing excellent awesome job this year... he's the boss... :handclap:

Makes sense when you got a puck hog that rarely dishes the puck with a horrible shooting % and top ten in the league with SOG, how can his linemates get scoring chances, Kadri is taking them all.

His sub 6% shooting percentage with nearly 250 SOG illustrates just how poor of an offensive threat he is.

Don't let facts get in the way of your desperate attempt to paint Kadri as a victim of circumstance.

You ignored his entire career, and pointed only to this season for obvious reasons.

He leads the team in scoring despite horrible luck. I'm willing to make a bet right now that his shooting % next year tops 6%.

Wonder what that will do to his point totals.

I don't know about this Stamkos (sorry Stammer for his friends) - Kadri connection blue. Couple reasons:

1. Stamkos... Sorry Stammer... once went a few games without scoring. Isn't it time that Kadri had better linemates?

2. Stamkos ... Sorry Stammer... is a shooter. Kadri is a shooter (not a good one mind you but a frequent one). Kadri's point totals, once at 90 point paces, may take a tumble. How's this going to work?

Kadri is clearly Babcock's... sorry Babs' favourite. (Well Healey said something different yesterday but we all know the blind hate there).

I don't know how this will work.

Has #43 ever gone to the net to try and get a tip or rebound or "dirty"goal? If he had the balls for it he might score more. It's also a good spot to fall down and draw a penalty.
