Hopefully this will be better for Avs. Mitts has been solid 2c player that we really needed. Wish Bo best of luck and he is still so young that he can be a Captain for Buffalo or other team in the near future.

According to henchman500 he had a 7x7 ($49m) offer from an eastern team. Avs matched that $49m but over 8 years so there wasn't really a discount beyond whatever AAV he could have gotten on a 1 year deal after a 7 year deal as a 36 year old. Maybe that would end up being $1-2m, or maybe nothing if he LTIRetires or something by then, difficult to say now.
