Yeah this is the play I was referring to earlier, beast-mode was definitely engaged during this. Kinda wish it IMMEDIATELY turned into a goal, but it's still awesome it created the momentum needed to tie it up.

And why is that a bad thing? He's been making great outlet passes to spring the forwards most of the time, which is preferable since an end-to-end rush is much riskier. We don't want him doing this every single game.

It just so happens the Avs are running into teams like the Devils who are trying to clog up the passing lanes, so stretch passes aren't getting through. It's nice that EJ has a few weapons in his arsenal.
