Hmm I think the money was more then fair, but the term was a year or two short. I just think that him being 30, he's going to look for more long term security. This could be his last chance for a big contract.

Ok fair enough and I agree.

I will change the offer to

5 years at 4 million (basically same deal as PAP. 1 extra year for increase in cap)

Leon Draisaitl, 3rd overall --> 3rd overall
Alex Nedeljkovic, 38th overall --> 37th overall
Oskar Lindblom, 69th overall --> 138th overall
Maxim Letunov, 115th overall --> 52nd overall
Francis Perron, 123rd overall --> 190th overall
Kaapo Kahkonen, 129th overall --> 109th overall
Andreas Englund, 130th overall --> 40th overall
Axel Holmstrom, 131st overall --> 196th overall

Soooo... couple steals in Letunov and Englund, couple misses in Lindblom and Perron. Funny how my first two picks were dead on in terms of where they were drafted.

I'm re-signing Subban for $8 million AAV, 7 years. (Is that how this works?)
Eller - 3 years, $2.8 million AAV
I'd like to make an offer for Stralman - 5 years, $5 million AAV

we decide to not bid on other UFAs until Monday. Gives teams the time to sign their own guys to deals that are voted fair.

I'll add Subban's deal though as a deal I'd not try to offersheet.

Both those RFA deals seem fair

So, end of Saturday I think these RFAs that were offered contracts can all be considered agreed upon and added to the lineup

Columbus - All
Detroit - All (will need to have a new GM make their lineup and check cap space)
Edmonton- All except Petry who may need more input (current offer 4 years 12m, 3m AAV)
New Jersey - All
Buffalo - All
Chicago - did not have any
Colorado - All
Carolina - All
San Jose - All
Winnipeg - All except Frolic who needs more input (current offer 4 yrs 11.2m, 2.8m AAV) currently 2-1 in favor
NY Rangers - All except Kreider who needs more input (current offer 2 years 4.5m, 2.25m AAV)
Washington - no RFAs
Florida - All
Ottawa - All
Tampa Bay - All except Sustr and Panik may need discussed further

i think kreider needs to be on same range as killorn and schenn who got 2.5 mil. kreider produced at better pace and had good playoffs.

i assume i can sign hainsey as they offer him as much as he got and accepted from canes?

i'm fine with arizona offers.

boston offers.. maybe little more for pirri. same with bart. less term for fraser.

i think anaheim's offers for RFA's were fair (and more than that for DSP) except ROR and burmi imo. burmi 2.5 mil. ROR 6.5 mil. those numbers i can agree with.

eller.. fine with that. subban.. 8.5 mil i can agree with.

i also agree that brian boyle accepts that offer, as does d'agostini, bernier, robidas, scott and thorburn.

santorelli needs at least double than that and i think vanek would test the market.

My Draft Results:

19. LW Nikita Scherbak >>> 26
28. D Anthony DeAngelo >>> 19 (Tampa actually drafted him :nod:)
50. C Nicolas Aube-Kubel >>> 48
71. LW Christian Dvorak >>> 58
80. D Blake Siebenaler >>> 77
104. C Juilen Nantel >>> 204 (Avs pick :nod:)
142. C Reid Duke >>> 169
170. D Daniel Walcott >>>140
200. D Miro Keskitalo >>> Not drafted

So not bad, more off in the late rounds but that's to be expected. Pick I was most off on I'll just chalk up to the Avs getting incredible value. I'm very happy with how my 1-3 rounds went, would have helped Tampa IRL.

This is the best I could do on notable UFA offers made in the thread.

and reading through the old thread I do believe we decided that if a good deal can be agreed upon by at least 5 GMs to re-sign a UFA rather than hit the market it can be done before bidding start (sorry, my mistake caused the confusion).

San Jose offered contracts for both Stalock and Brown (post #70), but they were both honored contracts that happened during our draft. Both 2 years, $1,6 and 1,2 mill respectively.

Yep, since they were already done, they did not need voted on.

Although it won't matter much you may want to edit the Wingels contract in post 70 to 4 years as you mentioned in a later post.

UFA
Thomas Vanek (Sign to 7 years/$6.5 million per with a full NTC)
Mike Santorelli (Sign to 2 years/$1.55 million per)

I added these to the table
I voted no on Santorelli as I think he'll try to capitalize on a good year and get more term (4-5), even at slightly less salary. It is close though as that would be a good pay raise for him.

Offers
Berglund (accepted) 3.7 AAV
Schwartz 3 yrs @ 3.5 AAV
Sobotka 1 yr @ 1.4 (qualifies)

**I don't really want to have to deal with my minor leaguers/non-roster players, I am hope we will just assume they wre re-signed/qualified?

I'm working on that assumption as well except on highly notable players in order to keep out the clutter.

Schwartz is a good deal
Sobotka will need more term and more money. (needs that security since he will be throwing fisticuffs with Duchene a couple times a year and concussions are a league wide problem)
