I feel like this could get really messy with this approval system. I don't have much suggestions, maybe have the people who listed their resignings show how many approvals they have for each player.

RFA

Mats Zuccarello, resign to 3.8m x 5 years
Chris Kreider, resign to 2.25m x 2 years
John Moore, resign to 1.35m x 2 years
Jiri Tlusty, resign to 3.75 x 4 years
Nick Spaling, resign to 2.00m x 2 years
Zack Kassian, resign to 1.25m x 2 years
Matthias Ekholm, resign to 1.5m x 2 years
Kyle Beach, Will be Qualified
Ryan Bourque, Will be Qualified
Justin Falk, Will be Qualified
Kyle Jean, Not Qualified
Danny Kristo, Qualified
Jason Missiaen, Not Qualified
Scott Stajcer, Not Qualified
Jason Wilson, Not Qualified

phew, I think that just about does it.

I think the Kreider is too low. Even as a bridge I think he gets 3m per.

^ I think Boyle would want something around 3.0-3.5 million since the cap is climbing as well.

Hiller 5.5 for 5 years. I think that is a very fair deal IMO.

I need more opinions of Spezza? Paz doesn't think he should sign, IC thinks he would want more of everything.

Also are all my RFAs good?

I still disagree on Frolik, but I may be the only one.

you have matched my max for Hiller so I won't bid any higher.

Spezza would need a max deal (term not necessarily salary) to stay in Winnipeg.

Needing people to approve the Avs #'s I put down a couple of pages back...

I think we all agreed on your RFAs, and final UFA deals will be sorted starting tomorrow or Monday I think. (I do think if it was 8 years at that salary, Stastny would stay no matter what the other bids that came in)

I just think there will be bids coming for some UFAs and don't want some GMs not to get their chance.

I PM-ed all the other GMs so hopefully they will get back involved and we can really start this going.

Maybe update their original posts... When I get back to a computer I was going to use the 2nd post to organize all the signings and to be signed. People will need to list out their signings, to be signed, and let go fairly clearly.

As for the approvals themselves... I just hope it works, but if they can't, we will have to figure it out as we go. This is just the first year so we are bound to run into kinks.

I just double check, we'll be using the actual AAV of the what the players get signed for and this is just to confirm if they stay on that team?

I believe this was the decision:

Any player signed in real life before being re-signed in our mock gets that AAV. (If it is higher than the mock GM wants they can be traded or released to FA)

Any player signed in our mock first, but then signs in real life, the higher of the 2 AAVs will be used.

Edmonton will go 5 years 22.5m (4.500m AAV) on Michalek (UFA)

Gryba re-signed (I think) at 1.250m AAV

the Lehner and Savard deals look good though as RFAs

Hey folks sorry I've been away; I'll have something up by tomorrow I have just been crazy busy at work.

I suppose for starters I can say Rattie, Steen, and Berglund are all in play, and I will honor Berglund's contract. Cheers.

Ok will take the Gryba deal (was going off the nikitin one). Michalek is my player though so can you still make an offer?

I think you over shot Pyatt, (I'd start lower). He's a UFA and you can up the bid if you need to later.

Otherwise, I'm fine with these
Nice that Sustr is waiver exempt. Can stash him if you need to.

He's a UFA, so anyone can make a bid.

Then while we settle on our best offers, the other GMs can weigh in on which deal they think the player would take, by taking into account players do not often like to change teams, term and salary, if the team is rebuilding or a contender, etc. Can use the player's real quotes as well, like if he says he'd not stay in Canada, prefers to stay away from the pressure of a big market team, etc.

Or at least that is how I thought we were doing this.

Still deciding on what to do with Michalek might let him walk.

If a swap can be made for a left winger with similar potential and contract to Cowen I will let Michalek walk.

Ah ok I thought that we had a window of today and then tomorrow other people could make offers.

But in that case I would offer Grabovski 4 years at 4.5 million. Keeping in mind that he has played for Toronto and Montreal so is familiar with Canada and would play second line centre until Zbad is ready to move up to second line centre.

Having to change GMs mid stream, so we will (as a group unless we find another GM) need to do the RFAs, and represent the Wings in UFA until around July 2nd when Razor29 said he'd be available if needed.

They have 3 RFAs that are likely to get more than their QO

Tomas Tatar
-----I think he will get a pretty good bridge contract 3 yrs 2.50m AAV?
Riley Sheahan:
---- Less proven and also a bridge 2 years 1.250m AAV
Danny DeKeyser:
----- I think he'll get locked up on a longer deal something around 5 years @ 3.50m AAV

Just winging ;) this as ideas and did not try to research what has been put out there. All input is appreciated

Looks like with the Florida trade (added Upshall and Petrovic) the Wings have about 10-10.5m in cap space before RFAs are signed

UFAs
Alfredsson
Legwand
Samuelsson
Bertuzzi
Cleary
Quincey

Crap, forgot the AHL RFAs. I'd also like to qualify Kunyk, Korobov and Paradis.

I'd say start the UFA flood gates on Monday. Let the draft festivities and the weekend settle over today and tomorrow.

And how do we do that, just post hey I'd like Niskanen at 10 mil for 8 years and if I get 5 oks then he's mine?

You could leave it at your previous offer and see if anyone ups the ante.

This is going to be confusing until we get a list of the UFA offers before finalizing, but I think we'll work it out fairly well.

If the GMs want, I could start that list in a new post and Hench could move it to the spot he reserved when he gets back.

I think we should just start a list on UFAs that are bid on. Then when there are multiple bids, we just update with what we as a group think is the most likely accepted by the player. Once a player's activity dies down, we can decide the winning bid and make the offer accepted.
