It's pretty evident that when Matthews has Domi and Bertuzzi on his wings, his play is much more elevated. He seems much more engaged and physical. When with Marner, he seems to sit back more and allow the puck to come to him as opposed to going after it. Marner obviously hasn't been himself since returning from injury, which actually allows us to roll 3 lines. Once Mcmann returns as well.

Feel bad for Robertson as he's been pretty good these playoffs, I would have him actually ahead of Knies but we know that won't happen.

He's been really good through 2 games, excellent in game 2.

It might be his best playoff game.

Last year, Game 4 against Tampa he also put the team on his back and carried them to a win and people where saying the same thing.

Bertuzzi and him need to stay together for the rest of the series. 2 best players... BY FAR.

Marner nowhere to be seen, awful game 2.

That was a great game by him. Great all around game. Should prove to him that he's capable of playing the complete game

I hope he continues to play a similar game

Time to get to #1 this year!
The marker, which broke a 2-2 tie in the third period, was the sixth playoff game-winner of Matthews' career, moving into a tie for fourth all-time in Maple Leafs franchise history.

Ted Kennedy owns the all-time franchise mark with 10 playoff game-winners, followed by Frank Mahovlich at nine and Mats Sundin at seven.
