Al rollins played in the 1954 game without being an all star the previous season. So it wasn't strictly based on the postseason all stars.

This one may be a little off the board, but this is a player who can do a couple of things at the elite level so I think he makes an excellent spare.

What if I told you that the player currently leading the NHL in PIM is still available? And what if I told you that this player was currently 4th in the NHL (among players with over 1000) with a faceoff winning percentage of 57.5%?

that's right, he's available. I'm absolutely thrilled to get him. I'm surprised no one has taken him as a fighting/faceoff specialist yet:

Zenon Konopka, C

A ''little'' off the board?

Can I change my pick? I realized I didn't have my list in order!

If I can, I'd like Cully Dahlstrom, C if not I'll stick with who was listpicked.

The Fireworks select their backup G Gerry Mcneil

Can somebody please pm the nest GM, I am currently elbows deep at work.

Thanks

McNeil starred with the Montreal Royals of the Quebec Senior Hockey League, earning the best goals against average in the league in both 1945-46 and '46-47, being named the first team all-star in 1947, '48 and '49 and was chosen the league's most valuable player three years consecutively?1947, 1948 and 1949 as well.

He was summoned to the Montreal Canadiens full-time in 1950-51 when Bill Durnan retired, playing every minute of every game in his rookie season. McNeil backstopped the Canadiens to the Stanley Cup finals against Toronto in 1951 and Detroit in 1952, but it wasn't until the 1952-53 season that he was able to lead the Canadiens to his own Stanley Cup. That same season, he was selected to the NHL's Second All-Star Team.

Towards the end of the 1953-54 season though, McNeil lost his starting position to a young superstar named Jacques Plante. But when the Canadiens were faced with elimination by Detroit in the 1953-54 Stanley Cup finals, Plante was pulled by coach Dick Irvin in favour of the veteran McNeil, who promptly won the next two games to force a seventh game.

I read his name, thought "huh, probably a European player I've never heard of. Wait, he's currently leading the NHL in PIM's? *flashback to Canucks board discussions about fourth line C trade candidates*. Wait, what the hell, isn't this the Islanders fourth line center? Is seventies THAT confident in his team that he's throwing picks like this...maybe he's drunk. No, pick made this morning...hungover then....oh, it's April Fools."

And that's the "cool story bro" moment for today.

Nope, you definitely missed it three times. There were two other times you came in here and picked after your clock had expired and you just didn't know that it had.

Yes, the deadlines are too short. We will work on that next time.

If we do still do 40 teams next time, I think it should be a 6 hour clock to the end, but a 2 hour penalty for missing an 8 or 12 hour clock early on.

are you running this draft

this is the first that i have been made aware of a penalty so unless it is official and published in the main draft board it doesn't count.

It's been on the main draft board. Penalties are listed at the bottom of the OP and have been all draft

Nabokov is a solid choice. Excellent regular season goalie. I had considered taking him over Kerr.

Dammit, nabokov was my backup plan for backup after John Ross Roach. Figured sturm might take him.

You want to keep nabby planted on the bench in the playoffs, but he's a good regular season backup for sure.

2). The time windows will be tight but reasonable.

12 hour clock for the first two rounds, (shortlists PM'd to me highly encouraged here)
then 8 hour clock for rounds 3-8,
then 6 hour clock for rounds 9-18,
then 4 hour clock for rounds 19-25

One hour time window deduction for each skipped pick with a minimum 1 hour clock guaranteed regardless of deductions.

This has not changed since the beginning of time. LL, sorry, but you have no argument here.

there is no record published on the front page = doesnt count

if you do it your way anyone could end up with 2 more missed clocks

because if you look at dreams post he said i already had a 3 hr penalty

so does that mean i missed my clock 3 times already and if that is true why do i not have a 4 hr penalty
