Damn...not exactly NHL, but a gorgeous goal by a Victoriaville player just now. It'll likely make the evening highlight reels.

I really feel like this contract is gonna bite Tampa in the ass. Gourde's a nice surprise but I'm not sure he can be a consistent 60 point player in the NHL, and he'll be turning 28 when that extension kicks in.

On the other hand, if he does somehow keep this up and nets 60-70 points on average for the next 4-5 years, Brisebois will look like a genius. But my money is on the first scenario.

I would have given him 4 years at most, which I feel he would have gladly taken.

They also have to re-sign Brayden Point soon(rfa) , who will command more than Gourde or at least the same.

lol I'm gonna be in Windsor for work in a couple weeks.

Tickets for Coyotes at Red Wings available starting at $6 USD on stubhub.

I think I'll go just to add another NHL barn to my list.

From what I'm told it's good to just watch the game from one of the bars on sight as it is in the arena proper.

Hold him to the boards for 10s, then give the penalty to the player being held. K?

$40 USD for parking in Illitch's compound. Outside, there are lots that get progressively cheaper the further you go from the arena. (The neighbourhood gets sketchier the further you venture though.)

Harry's Detroit Bar & Grill is nearby, great pub with great food.

And the sports bars on site are pretty good too, good crowds, decent fare. They seem like they have great game-day energy.

Man...$40 parking in a city built by the automotive industry. That's pretty ballsy.

Yeah there’s plenty of $10 lots within walking distance or park at a casino for free and play like a five cent slot machine to get validation.

Is it just me or does anyone else find the way the Sharks/ducks fans chant their team names to get them going in game annoying

Not to mention the lame shark closing mouth arm motion they do

The Motorcity Hotel and Casino is about 1 km away. It’s a straight walk down a big boulevard. My friends took this walk, and a police cruiser rolled alongside them the whole way. They were kind of worried that they were doing something wrong, then kind of worried the cop was escorting them through a bad neighbourhood. The abandoned and condemned houses in the neighbourhood near the casino are haunting.

Make sure to pop to Cesars as well whilst you’re there.

Nice and easy to get to Detroit so that’s a plus, and there was a really good red wings bar that annoyingly I can’t remember the name of

Yeah motor city isn’t in the best of locations compared to other casinos. If you walk the other way down that street you hit Corktown which is being revitalized and has some cool places. Basically Corktown, Midtown, Downtown are the places revitalized so far but there’s still a lot more work to do. Detroit is probably too big of a city land wise than it needs to be.

Still if you have a chance to visit I think it’s worth it, some of the best architecture in the country IMO if you’re into that sort of thing.
