My hopes, in order:
Nashville
Minnesota
Winnipeg
Florida
New York
Edmonton
Toronto
Pittsburgh
It isn't as big of a real threat as it used to be but Canadians outside the province don't seem to know that yet.
I'm a little surprised that Tampa/Columbus isn't a bit closer.Vegas series odds for the east
Philly -240
Montreal +195
Tampa -195
Columbus +160
Washington -180
New York +150
Boston -140
Carolina +120

We know it. The FLQ crowd are all lining up for their Canadian pensions now. lol
If Marincin and Holl were both Bruins, they would be their 12th and 13th D-men, I'm not even sure they would have included them in their play-in training camp, they didn't include Petrovic and he's about the same level. Tonight they were their #4 and #5 guys once Barrie went down. Leafs have got to address their D this off-season or they will keep repeating the same fate.
Dermott has never impressed in a single game I've seen him play either, he seems slow with decision making. Ceci would be an AHL 4/5 Dman as well. I truly believe 4/6 of their dmen wouldn't even make the Bruins roster, or 2/6 if Muzzin and Barrie were in.
Now, if they could just figure out a way to not make their annual awards show the most cringeworthy thing on the planet (not counting the Leafs in a playoff or pre-playoffs series)Tons of credit to the NHL marketing team. They've done a great job with the return to play.
I didn't think Bettman had it in him, but it's hard to suggest that any commissioner has done a better job than him. NBA has been solid, but their fanless games feel like summer league or AAU. NHL has made the best of a bad situation.

1. Vegas vs. 8. Chicago
2. Colorado vs. 7 Arizona
3. Dallas vs. 6. Calgary
4. St. Louis vs. 5. Vancouver
1. Philadelphia vs. 8. Montreal
2. Tampa Bay vs. 7. Columbus
3. Washington vs. 6. New York
4. Boston vs. 5. Carolina
I wish the seeding worked out a bit differently in the West so it didn’t look so chalky, but I think the better teams are clear in each of those series.
