I’m not one to defend the **** Marchand does on the ice but what absolute BS by that writer bringing his name up when he’s never had off ice incidents. That writer should be called out hard for that.

I guess the media using Marchand justify actions by players on other teams now extends to incidents involving the criminal justice system

I think he was more referring to Matthews' trash ("I don't even know who you are") move on Sabourin. That's something Marchand might do. Not something that the likes of Bergeron, Crosby, McDavid would do. As far as the off-ice activities go, that's more Kane than Marchand.

Watching this Behind the Glass show on NHL Network about the Flyers training camp and I have to say Alain Vigneault is about as inspiring as Eeyore.

His training camp “speech” was something along the lines of “We’re gonna be a middle of the pack mediocre team guys. Let’s go do it.”

Tossing him out to make a point I get. Instant 10 game suspension for abuse of official is too much here IMO.
