Would look solid on 3rd line wing. I still think he can pot 20+

I would take a flyer on this guy, watched him a lot being in the Vancouver market.

The real question is what do you give up to get him.

Virtanen doesn't sound like the type of player Boston likes. Came to camp overweight and likes to party.

I don’t know why some think that he’s worth taking a chance on. Is it because he’s a right shot? The sought-after “big body”?

Here's a kid who has a worse PPG at the AHL level than Senyshyn.

They want him for the exact reason you state. Righ shot. Big body. Hits.

Good thing this is the NHL level.

He had more goals last year on a god awful Canucks team than anyone on the Bruins 3rd line.

In their defense, the Stars did take the Blues to double overtime of Game 7, and didn't tap out after one period. ;)

Looks like the bridge deal is alive and well, except in Toronto. ;)

I just read a quote from Mark Giordano praising Tkachuk and other players for taking these deals to help their teams stay competitive.

It will be fascinating to watch it play out over the next several years. Dubas could be a hero for locking up his core for longer term; but he could also be the goat.

Jumbo Tron glitches. Yikes. Seems like that should have been worked out by now?

    Toronto's success will determine that.

They win and he's forever a hero. They don't win and he becomes the scapegoat.

    The mob is fickle.

    Surprised Connor ain’t signed yet.

Even more with Rantanen with them less than 600k apart from reports and the Avs with more than 15M in Cap space.

I was just looking at Patrick Kane's stats last year.

He had a ridiculous stretch from 28 games from Dec 16 to Feb 24. He scored 56 points (2ppg). He was only held scoreless once -- against the Bruins.

I feel like with Carlo, McAvoy, Clifton and Gryz all getting older and the experience of that playoff run...the defense is going to be insane this year. Is there somewhere I can bet on the Jennings?

I'm of the belief that at his first ballot Hall of Fame induction, Pat Kane will be introduced as the greatest American player ever.

No small feat holding him pointless, though the outdoor game is a bit different for players.

Connor has better numbers and is the better player right now, but if DeBrusk gets 30 this year, then, yeah, he will be looking for $6-7 million annually.

Glad we didn't draft all these 2015 guys. They are getting paid a lot of money. I'm guessing that was part of the strategy on passing them.
