I'm getting convinced the refs and the league are trying to gift the Sharks a final berth at this point, Jesus.

This has been a really dull postseason
I think it's a result of completely awful reffing and far too many upsets in round 1.

Only one or at most 2 of the underdogs should have gone on to the 2nd round, the only enjoyable series in round 2 for me was BOS vs CBJ because despite it only going 6 vs the west series going 7 I thought it was the closest in terms of play.

Outside of 1-4 players per team these are some boring f***ing teams, NYI, CAR (system related they generate nothing), COL (somewhat personal), DAL, and even San Jose compared to the beautiful hockey Vegas was playing.

I hope the Blues pull it off. I'm happy for Bouwmeester. He never turned into what we wanted, but he is still a good player, and I always liked him
Would be cool to see the Buttmeester pairing hoist the Cup. Butler is not yet eligible though, didn't play enough games in the regular season and hasn't dressed in the playoffs yet.

The Sharks are 1 power-play away from scoring 3 goals. 1 goal kicked in, 1 goal off the net bouncing onto the back of Binnington into the net and 1 high stick deflection.

THEY'RE STILL IN THIS!

I wouldn't be surprised if the Ducks and Sharks flip-flop in the standings next season. They're due for some years in the wilderness anyway

The Sharks always seem to keep it competitive. Good depth and mix of older and younger guys. They're hard to call

Tippett kind of seems dated to me. Not sure his style fits the new NHL. Maybe he’s adapted though

Tippett is a pretty reasonably good choice. However, between him and Holland I think the Oilers have played it really 'safe'. Neither of these guys is known for big moves or wild strategies. Both are guys who can take a ship sailing in the right direction and keep it going that way.

I have a suspicion that playing it safe here will ultimately bite the Oilers in the ass. They need a lot of big moves to make it out of the woods.

Ahh the Oilers. Have the fastest most gifted offensive player in the world. Hire a guy who does nothing but trap and slow the game down trying to win 1-0.

Tippett is a more modern Hitchcock. The Pacific division is in shambles though so they may still end up making it next season
