Just my speculation on "new" Canes jerseys next year... but I noticed MAB and Dalpe (open bigger pic link) wearing new gloves that are not typical of all the other Canes colors. Its all red with white lettering, with no black or silver piping. Look at all the other canes that wear the same brand gloves and they are different. Maybe they ran out of the old stock and only have the new stock available?

It may be nothing but I read that we were simplifying our jerseys for next year and maybe we are getting rid of black and silver? Just my speculation

Interesting theory, I hadn't noticed the difference. It would make sense though, it seems like the knock on our jerseys has always been how cluttered they are at the bottom. There's also a general trend towards cleaner, simpler looks, like what Tampa did with their sweaters. Quick scan of the Ottawa photo gallery shows Blanchard (when his gloves were actually on ) has the Red/Black/White/Silver gloves that all of the regulars have, but those could be ones he brought up from Charlotte. I'm excited to see what, if anything, comes of the new jersey rumors.

There was a thread about it earlier in the year, but I don't remember if this was confirmed in any way. And I'd hope they would reveal at or even before the draft, but who knows. Hopefully we'll get some definitive info once the season ends.
