Remi Elie filed for arbitration, presumably fighting 1-way vs 2-way. Could be a similar reason.

Is Connor a direct comparable to Reinhart for next summer?

I don't think so, Connor has two solid goal-heavy seasons under his belt, whereas I think a bridge actually made some sense in Sam's case. If Sam goes ppg this year I see 8, if he pots 60-70 I see it being more in Connor's range.

Might depend the most on Byfulglien retiring. If so, cap space is not such an issue anymore and I think Roslovic and a 2nd is about how it would pan out.

I watched it live and when Kane went to two hand slash the Vegas player he mostly got the ref. There was already one big dust up in front of SJ's net earlier so the ref might have thought he was going to stop another one from erupting. Not a good look all the way around.

Not sure what the ref was thinking on that play. Let the two guys throw down if they must. It's not like Engelland can't handle himself, or was in a position where he couldn't protect himself. It's unfortunate that Kane hit him with the stick, but looking at it in real time Engelland gave Kane a cross-check, and Kane immediately turned around just as the ref got there. Kane wasn't expecting the ref to be there. With that said, Kane is 100% responsible for his stick here.

Bad judgement call by the ref, and Kane SHOULD get some type of fine for the play.

Nobody knew what Kane was going to do next. He says he was just skating up the ice but there's a strong chance he's going to take another wack or run at Engelland. (Kane got all of the linesman with his last 2 hander.....) Engelland is being restrained at that point by the other linesman. Kinda makes the situation uneven......

The other linesman stepped in forcefully to end that possibility. The ref kicked out Kane as a game control measure.

I don't appreciate Evander playing the victim card here.............
