Muzzin would have been the 2nd best defenseman on Pittsburgh. Easily.

But nah

I'm rooting for Toronto but I feel that should be no goal. If that was on Muzz.... i'd be calling no goal.

I do not agree with that call.

Why? He wasn't even in the blue paint and the goalie was a smidgen outside of the blue.

I don’t think it affected the goal at all. But I get the not wanting the goalie to be touched at all precedent I guess.

Eh. Rask is borderline out of the crease. Hyman made it look worse.

Who knows if he could sprawl across. IMO Hyman crosschecked to create space (totally normal) and doing that he pushed himself back into the goalie. In that small instance, Rask did not have the ability to re-set and play the puck. Muzz had made those wild ass saves before.

If it was against the Pens, I'd be mad.

Meh. If that isn’t a goal they need to create an area where players can’t go then. Because Rask came out and Hyman is making room to screen the goalie.

Textbook Kunitz / Hornqvist play.

Totally fair point. But that hasn't been called consistently... EVER.

Man...Rielly has been up on the play constantly. Really helping that Toronto offense. Great game by him, IMO.
