Detroit fans will say how far ahead in the rebuild their are, when they did exactly what we did last year. Rode career years for several players to end up 1 point out of the playoffs

Detroit losing because the Flyers pull their goalie in a tie game (possibly not realizing that they themselves were eliminated like 10 seconds prior to pulling). Lol!

I hope Detroit is feeling the pure meaninglessness of this shoot out.
Oh, they absolutely did lol

Caps are washed up - don't care if they make it, they are on the decline. Didn't want Detroit building on anything this season and want that franchise to feel the weight of needing to develop through the draft.
They were the lesser of the three evils and maybe they do us a favor and bounce NYR.

Very glad we won't have to hear every announcer fawn over His Holiness Dylan Larkin and hero worship Patrick Kane

Also, it's unfortunate that the chaotic ending to this season (and Gary's long-standing desire for artificial parity to keep every team hanging around in the playoff hunt and make their records look better) will prevent the NHL from moving to the 3-2-1 point system.

What's gone on down in Arizona is downright shameful. Alex Meruelo shouldn't be allowed to run a roadside lemonade stand - much less a professional sport team - ever again.

As someone who lost one of their favorite teams less than a year ago (#BeautsForever), I sympathize with 'Yotes fans. Sabres fans have that franchise to thank for Teppo Numminen and Daniel Briere.
