What a joke of a return for Hall at 50% retained
I thought NJ did okay on this deal. Bahl, Merkley and a 1st is pretty good for a rental.
Yeah but if we include Perunovich, Alexandrov and a 1st that still hurts us. Hall is great but then our prospect pool is basically nothing aside from 2 guys. I don't see the point in giving up that for a rental. We could’ve easily beat that without including Kostin/Kyrou. I’m pretty irritated about this.

also, how the heck did new jersey not get a goalie?
Kyle Palmeri? Because I'd happily take himThey're going to flip some of those assets from Arizona to STL for Allen after the season.

He is. I forget he exists all the time.Ugh, Palmieri would THRIVE in St. Louis. Very underrated player
Im also only moderately familiar, and not at all familiar with the d prospect. But I thought it was a collection of meh and picks for a good player, similar to the o'Reilly trade, but NJ is retaining half the salary as well. I definitely thought he'd get back more quality than that. How familiar are you with those prospects? Not knocking your opinion. Just genuinely curious. I have heard people say its a ton of meh and some saying its massive overpayment. I am really only moderately familiar with the prospects, so I cannot really say myself.
I did some digging. Bahl is 6'6" and an excellent skater. He is strong defensively, but needs to work on his offensive game. He could be another Parayko. Bahl and a1st alone is steep for a rental. The fact that NJ also got additional forward prospects and a 3rd makes it a steal in my eyes..How familiar are you with those prospects? Not knocking your opinion. Just genuinely curious. He’s basically Niko Miko. Nice prospect but no Parayko.I did some digging. Bahl is 6'6" and an excellent skater. He is strong defensively, but needs to work on his offensive game. Yeah okay, the Parayko comparison is a bit of a stretch, but Parayko was a surprise to us. Remember, Bahl is still in the OHL. He is probably a couple of years away. He’s basically Niko Miko. Nice prospect but no Parayko.
I’m not so sure that I see Hall as a rental.I did some digging. Bahl is 6'6" and an excellent skater. He is strong defensively, but needs to work on his offensive game. He could be another Parayko. And he's only 28 years old....seriously when I think of the guy, I think he's mid 30s and a season away from retirement. He puts up highlight reel goals and I say...."man he's still killing it for his age".He is. I forget he exists all the time.
We will see. I will believe it when Hall signs with the 'Yotes.I’m not so sure that I see Hall as a rental.
It’s possible he’s not, but all the articles I’ve read from the big hockey reporters indicate that they think he’s testing the market unless Arizona would throw a stupid contract at him.I’m not so sure that I see Hall as a rental.
