Just because someone is drafted high means squat going forward. The Sabres just aren't very good and so far are unwilling to make up for that by working hard as a team.

They are not necessarily playing at a high level now, but Eichel, Skinner, and Hall have put up bigger seasons than anyone currently wearing a Coyote uniform. They have talent, but are underperforming as a team.

Need a real GM first. I wonder if ownership is almost gunshy to make yet another change, especially at coach.

Adam Henrique on waivers... wouldn’t mind picking him up and sending Hayton down... but then saw his cap hit is over $5M...

To put this season into perspective:

Jack Eichel's stat line in 13 games: 2G, 10A, 12PT, -9
Jeff Skinner's stat line in 13 games: 0G, 1A, 1PT, -1
Taylor Hall's stat line in 13 games: 1G, 8A, 9PT, -10

Conor Garland, Nick Schmaltz, and Christian Dvorak all have more points than Eichel. Eight Coyotes have as many or more goals than Eichel does - including Barrett Hayton and Tyler Pitlick. Nobody on the Coyotes roster is as bad in +/- as Eichel and Hall (our worst is Phil Kessel at -7).

Those three Sabres may have put up bigger seasons in the past, but they are sucking wind hard right about now.

Skinner is a highly overrated player. And you only named 3, that's hardly enough in the NHL if you want to win in skill.

I agree...sucking hard. A sign of good coaching is maximizing the available talent.

I liked it for a lot of years but I'm done with winter!!!! Victoria is my new locale

nice. My nephew starts at U of Vic as soon as covid is over. I myself am about 3-5 years away from retirement. Planning on a condo in BC and one in AZ at that point. 6 months each.

You are picking 2 markets where real estate markets are booming. But great weather.
