It will be an interesting game to keep an eye on tonight between the Bruins and the Lightning. Not sure who to cheer for but hope they will beat each other nicely in a battle for the first place :)

For sure. I want to see what Tampa is up to. They seem to be disinterested in games at times pretty much like leafs in last few games. However, there is no bigger motivation than bos at the moment. Looking forward for bos destruction, but if not then Tampa really slowed down.

We clinch tonight with:

1) A Panthers regulation/OT/SO loss
or
2) A Devils regulation loss

Correct?

The Toronto Maple Leafs (idle) will clinch a playoff berth if either of the following occurs:
* The Florida Panthers lose to the Ottawa Senators (7:30 p.m. ET: RDS, TSN5, FS-F, NHL.TV) in any fashion
* The New Jersey Devils lose to the Pittsburgh Penguins (7 p.m. ET; MSG+, ATTSN-PT, NHL.TV) in regulation

Soooo.. Lets go Ottawa (ewww) and lets go Pens!!

Boston is a great team because they changed the way they play.
I dont know if some people think their winning with the style the played forever but its inaccurate.
They have MASSIVELY upped the tempo of their game and have many players who can skate. Cassidy has even been quoted on a few occasions about how much he constantly stress's to his team to play with pace.
They have inserted players who can dictate the pace of play rather then have a big punishing team. Sure they still have a few elements of grit and toughness but their a great team because they consistently outskate and outwork their opponent.

The game nowadays is about forcing the other team to stay with you and not being the team chasing the play. Speed combined with a motor is such a valuble commodity and one of the reasons many teams are doing better than expected (Bos, Vegas, NJ).

Andreas Johnsson helps us win and dictate the pace of play way more than Leo Komarov does.

Looking forward to the 3rd period. Wonder if Tampa and Boston are going to behave when they face each other again in 5 days. :naughty:
