For those really hoping Pit misses, the harshest way would be for Phi and Mon to win tomorrow and Pit to lose to the Islanders Wed.

I personally like Crosby and Karlsson more than the indifference I feel towards Dubas bit to each their own

Wow, Raymond the hero, he's turned into a nice player for the Wings. 30 goals and 70+ pts on the season. The 2020 draft class seems to be living up to the hype lately, a really solid top 5 now with Lafreniere, Byfield, Stutzle, Raymond and Sanderson, plus other guys like Jarvis, Neighbours, Mercer, Perfetti, Quinn, Zary, Schneider, Lundell, Guhle, Greig etc. turning into useful contributors to their respective teams.

Of course Leafs pick was used to get out of the Marleau deal and Carolina drafted Jarvis with it meanwhile our selection tragically passed away (RIP Amirov). I have no doubt that if Amirov didn't get cancer he'd be a pretty solid player for us right now.

Isn’t Philly out now?

They could tie caps in Pts and reg wins but caps have more ROW. Is that the order?
The official tie breaking procedure:

Tie-Breaking Procedure

If two or more clubs are tied in points during the regular season, the standing of the clubs is determined in the following order:

1. The fewer number of games played (i.e., superior points percentage).

2. The greater number of games won, excluding games won in Overtime or by Shootout (i.e., 'Regulation Wins'). This figure is reflected in the RW column.

3. The greater number of games won, excluding games won by Shootout. This figure is reflected in the ROW column.

4. The greater number of games won by the Club in any manner (i.e., 'Total Wins'). This figure is reflected in the W column.

5. The greater number of points earned in games against each other among two or more tied clubs.

  • For the purpose of determining standing for two or more Clubs that have not played an even number of games with one or more of the other tied Clubs, the first game played in the city that has the extra game (the 'odd game') shall not be included.
  • When more than two Clubs are tied, the percentage of available points earned in games among each other (and not including any 'odd games') shall be used to determine standing.
6. The greater differential between goals for and against (including goals scored in Overtime or awarded for prevailing in Shootouts) for the entire regular season. This figure is reflected in the DIFF column.

7. The greater number of goals scored (including goals scored in Overtime or awarded for prevailing in Shootouts) for the entire regular season. This figure is reflected in the GF column.

NOTE: In standings, a victory in a shootout counts as one goal for, while a shootout loss counts as one goal against.

It's a shame that after all that Ottawa ensured that we don't get to watch an Islanders/Rangers series. Garbage franchise is even garbage when they try to play spoiler.

The rangers win the president trophy this year with «only » 114 points.

They win the presidents trophy tonight with a 55-24-4 record.

The leafs had a 50-21-1 record and 111 points last year, and a 54-21-7 record and 115 points 2 seasons ago, and it was still not good enough to win it….

Because last year, Boston had the best regular season ever in nhl history. 2022-23 bruins: 65-12-5 record= 135 points

And the panthers in 2022 had the best regular season ever in their history
2021-22 panthers: 58-18-6 record =122 points

In a normal year, the leafs would have won it. In most seasons, 110-115 points are good enough to clinch the top seed in the entire league and secure home-ice advantage for the entire playoffs.
