If Jones gets 9.5, how much is Makar gonna get? I mean there is a chance that Makar and Sakic come to fair contract agreement thats not even 9.5 mill aav for 8 years, but it could also mean Makar gets over 10

I'm not surprised at all by the Jones price or contract. All it took was one team valuing him as an elite defenseman in his prime. That team was Chicago. I'm glad Sakic didn't do that is all.

Meh, Jones had a bad season but he's absolutely a defender within that price range for me. Honestly all he's being overpaid is 1.5 million which is nothing in the long run.

Sakic trades better than signing UFAs so instead we will be talking about trading for him for the next 4 years.

Wow, opening night tickets are expensive. $55 bucks for the nose bleeds and $190 for the lower bowl/sack. I don't remember them being so much 2 years a go.

Coleman is a bottom 6er and he's going to be an overpaid bottom 6er somewhere else really soon.

Saad naturally should be resigned if Landeskog leaves, but they're gonna need another top 6 winger and I'm not sure about Rakell or Coleman. Coleman would be nice to have on the Avs 3rd line like he was in Tampa, but I don't think he's a top 6 forward. Rakell is solid but would prefer someone else.

Signing those guys at 7, 5.5, 1.8, and 1m would leave about 1.7m, possibly enough for Suter or an upgrade at forward.

Yeah, Sakic would have to convince a vet to come in cheap. It won't be a game changer like many are expecting like a Danault or Schwartz or bring back Saad, there's just not enough cap space.
