Tampa is pretty absurd. I don’t think this is an indictment on the habs. Tampa is the best team in the league by far. It’s a 100 million dollar team. Not sure anyone in the league stood a chance.

I think it's a combination of both.

Tampa Bay is a team with 20 million over the cap against a team, even with 100 point Cole Caulfield, is not very good.

Yeah the Habs were mostly riding absurd goaltending to the finals. Reminds me a bit of first year Vegas. At one point they were 10-0 when scoring 2 or more goals.

I hope Bergevin gets a 10 year extension for his work this season. Dude made some good moves, but I feel like he's liable to completely cripple his team long-term in one offseason if certain things don't go right for him.
