There were more than a few on this board that were against having this years Vancouver pick because they believed Vancouver would be really good.

They are pretty damn bad, but there are worse teams so it will keep them out of the bottom 5.

One thing the league could’ve done to limit exposure and spread is have the teams play series with each other and then move on to another team. Do 4 away against the pens and then for at home for the pens. Two day or one day of possible cool down for testing and then move on to next team

Early write ups had him anywhere from top three to top 10. My guess is with the ascension of Jack that Luke will go towards the very top of the draft.

Yes, but if two are in the same organization then it becomes likely that the third (and middle) is the one to join them.

USA pool is looking solid like the '96 World Cup roster. Finally have some centers to go against Canada unlike the 2016 World Cup / 2014 Olympics. Had one hard headed friend who was insistent that Bobby Ryan would have been the difference in 2014. Kept pointing out that our wings were fine, it was that we had Paveski-Stastny-Kesler-Backes-Stepan going up against Crosby-Getzlaf-Toews-Bergeron(wing in the tourney)-Duchene.

Hopefully Jack's in the conversation in a few months, but I wouldn't take much offense if he were bypassed this time. US usually takes three veteran goalies, but I wonder if taking somebody like Thatcher Demko over Bishop would make more sense in a year.

I've always been down on the US team because the middle has stunk, but this is the first time where I can confidently say that I think they are #2 in the world.

I see only 4 centers on the team you listed; I wouldn't be surprised to see Trocheck make the team as extras or as the 4th line center. JT Miller, too.

The defense is absurdly good.
