IMO there aren't really any UFAs that are realistically going to sign here. Maybe a depth/AHL guy here or there.

"New Joisey....Da Swamp..hurr hurr....."

That's always been the attitude of many a Free Agent that's never even been to NJ but instead listen to the morons mocking it. :whatever:

Instead they want to go play at the World's Most Famous Toilet Bowl.

Honestly, I'd probably take "the swamp" over Newark if I were a UFA. I don't think either sounds particularly appealing to people who don' t know.

Krug, Hoffman and a goaltender. I’m happy.
Krug is a very good D , but not the type the Devils should be paying UFA money on . He will be looking for huge $$ and is a smallish D that does not play physical.
Id prefer a Zadorov type or even Tanev.
Hoffman is not a good 5on5 player. He has a deadly shot and that is it. Dadanov is a better player and scores form the dirty areas of the ice and can pass very well as well. Id much rather have him over Hoffman.

MAF , Dadanov , and 2 D and its an awesome offseason.
Only MAF if we get a deadly piece attached ot him aka Glass or Hague or a 1st. Cant see it happening but this has been a crazy year .

I have heard that Calgary "might" be after Hall ( Fan 960 radio in Calgary) .
If that happens , Johnny will be available.
Calgary wants a C / RHD .
Maybe this is why the Devils drafted RW heavy .. knowing Johnny (LW) might coming here lol !
I dont think that Zacha would be enough unless a very good D is attached ( Smith) but no way Smith should be available.
Would you guys do Zacha and Severson ?

Unverified source (I think he writes for The Score) but it seems like this is gonna happen.

I feel like some rando on twitter isn’t going to break the tampering charges. If he’s hearing the info and it was real then Arizona will ask for compensation from the league.

I think it’s just a guy shooting his shot and taking a guess. Then if he’s right he can claim inisderrrrrrr status.

this seems bad for Columbus?

Seems like an NBA style cap dump, rumor is they want to make a run at free agent winger. I can't say I've watched a ton of Nutivaara, but he seems like he'd be in the class of guys who didn't get their QOs so maybe that's why he didn't have better trade value. With the expansion draft looming, I'm not sure many teams would have given up much and had a protection spot for him.

I expected Nuti to be traded cause Torts seems to hate him and was kinda hoping we'd be in on it. He's not flashy, but a good defenseman with room to grow. Maybe I'm bias who knows. CBJ probably wouldnt have dealt him inside Metro anyway.

It certainly does, considering Pu was given away by the Canes for future considerations. This was definitely a cap dump by Columbus.

Pu was on two AHL teams, Charlotte and Springfield, that are real stacked with offense so who knows how much opportunity he was getting. Cleveland is comparatively a wasteland so this could be great for Pu’s development, his stats are brutal but he’s only 22 and maybe he’ll bloom with more optimal ice time.

Islanders looking to shed salary and sign a goal score, should we have some interest in Boychuk. $6 mil is high, but only 2 seasons remaining. He small, but always liked his game.

I thought Boychuck was rather big, unless I’m thinking of the wrong player. I believe he played on the bottom pairing this year for the Isles.
