As always the new season could not start fast enough. Lets Go Hockey
(no, not TG. lol)
I like him. I wish he played, I think most Sharks fans do. What would I give up for him? Well, I figure if Mueller is worth a 2nd, he probably won't be a worth a 2nd, if not just because he's 27 years old and and has only 30 NHL games.@Bleedred - There's talk about SJ moving Tim Heed. You follow that team, is he any good and just being held back by Pete, or is he just another AHL/NHL tweener?
He's a UFA next year too, so that decreases his worth a bit more too.I like him. I wish he played, I think most Sharks fans do. What would I give up for him? I'm not sure where to gauge what he's worth, but he's pretty good, from what we've seen so far.
Is his head coming out of that girl's purse?
I like Tim Heed, but as a RHD I don't see him playing absent us moving one, maybe even two defensemen.@Bleedred - There's talk about SJ moving Tim Heed. You follow that team, is he any good and just being held back by Pete, or is he just another AHL/NHL tweener?
True, but we're so thin on RHD. Past Santini/Lovejoy, there's really only Walsh who isn't going to be ready for a few years and Jacobs (meh). In retrospect, I guess we grabbed Gryba and Ramage who are pretty much minor league depth but I guess could fill in on an emergency basis.I like Tim Heed, but as a RHD I don't see him playing absent us moving one, maybe even two defensemen.
Lorito to LI with Grandpa Lou. So now that's Sislo, Helgeson, Lorito, and Bernier. Bridgeport is going to look like an Albany reunion tour.
But I honestly don't think that is bad. Bridgeport is a complete embarrassment and a major problem. The team just set the AHL record for most consecutive seasons without a playoff series win. Bringing in credible AHL veterans to make them a real competitive team is totally the right move. They need an organization that teaches their prospects how to win badly and Lou is very smart to address that because it's been a real problem.Lorito to LI with Grandpa Lou. How about Gionta and Bernier? Are they still there? Is Whitney still there too?
Though nothing is complete until Tropp arrives in town.

Whelp... looks like we REALLY didn't want him...

Seems so (if this report is correct). I would easily have taken him for that price. I have the feeling that the league is shifting so much towards speed that they're leaving other talents on the table, kind of like how a decade ago skilled small players were being brushed aside for size. Guys like Johnson, St. Louis, etc weren't drafted or just not wanted. Maroon at that price is the pendulum swung completely the other direction.Wow, that's it for 1-year??
Nonsense, absolute nonsense. We have no chance at him for that price, as New Jersey isn't where his family lives (no other city is either). St. Louis can leverage their location against him to get a heavy discount.Seems so (if this report is correct). I would easily have taken him for that price.
