Lol are you guys seriously judging the Sharks after a measly few games? They have three Norris caliber defensemen on the team, two of whom are the best offensive defensemen in the world. They will get things going and dominate the Pacific.

Burns is not Norris caliber anymore, his defense is eroded to where he looks like a winger on defense. San Jose was a +23 on goal differential last year, pretty solid. Burns was a -13, which is terrible on a team that good.

Karlsson hasn't been Norris caliber since his injury. Right now he's not even John Klingberg. He's been on the ice for 5 goals against already this year, and that's just continuing from last year. He was on the ice for the 2nd most goals against league wide by 1, trailing only Ceci who played 11 more games....

Pickles has never been Norris quality.

Doesn't mean they don't have a great chance of dominating the Pacific, but those days have passed for those 3.

Doesn't make sense for day games in the U.S. between Vegas and Buffalo, and San Jose and NY Islanders. It had to be for Columbus Day.

I remember going to a Hurricanes/Devils early Columbus Day game a few years back. The Islanders in particular I seem to remember actually request to host a Columbus Day early game. One of the nice things their old owner would do is donate a bunch of those tickets to school kids who'd have the day off.

Karlson might turn it around but he really doesn’t look so hot right now. Take a look at the islanders backbreaking third goal today. Karlson was first to a puck in his defensive corner and gave it up so meekly he looked like a 10 year old up against an adult. That islander player then centered it for an easy goal. It was terrible.

Minus three today fully deserved.

These 10am face offs on Columbus Day shouldn’t involve west coast teams who just traveled east. No wonder San Jose and Vegas looked asleep.

Tyler Bertuzzi looks like the college player who is home for the summer playing in the best beer league and chirping everyone till someone older fights him and he quits while talking about how bad the league is anyway, all the while dropping 'beauty' and 'chel' and 'celly'.

Anaheim continues to impress with their rookies. The only bust I can think of is Ritchie. But a lot of good players.

To be fair, they're missing a lot of vet forwards atm. Those two seem to be doing well so far, and I don't think Carlyle had much of a choice

The Kings haven't had a rookie worthy of that kind of ice time since Pearson in 2014.

Blake is doing a pretty good job so far of fixing the disaster he inherited. Iafallo, JAD, Vilardi, Brickley is a pretty nice run in a year and a half.

Comtois got close to 18 mins tonight, and over 20 for Sam Steel. Can’t recall the last time the Kings gave a rookie forward that kind of ice time.

10/7/17 - 18:10
10/14/17 - 18:29
10/21/17 - 18:05
10/24/17 - 19:15
10/28/17 - 22:06
11/4/17 - 19:14
11/7/17 - 19:09
11/14/17 - 21:12

Not a 19 or 20 year old, but Iafallo got plenty of time to not score goals last year.

For all we know Kopitar and/or Brown told Stevens to leave him on the line when they were clicking so well.

True but Getzlaf, Perry, Kesler, Eaves are all out injured and Ritchie is without a contract. So while it is annoying to see the Ducks give their young rookies lots of ice time, they are kind of forced to give them the ice time.

If Vilardi ever plays.
