It'd be cool to hear Gary Thorne again, but 2004 was also 17 years ago. It feels more like a nostalgia decision than the choice you'd make in 2021. An entire generation isn't familar with him.

Gary Thorne will be 73 when the deal starts, so I'd say there's not much chance he's still working when the 7-years are up. You do get guys like Bob Chase or Vin Scully, but they're the exception rather than the rule.

I'd expect ESPN's broadcast team to have far more women and POC than we've ever seen. The criticism of ESPN is that they're too political now, and Disney really doesn't put their foot down on parts of their company that do get political (Lucasfilm comes to mind). This would probably mean lots of new names.

It would be good to have two options, but really the better option is for a new developer to come in and disrupt the whole thing.
