How about resigning Radulov for that 7 million he wanted...

We still would've had 5 million to spend, and have a legit 1st liner on our team.

Oh well, another year of Byron Froese
Of course, cause if we had Radulov, we’d be winning the cup........

Even with Radulov the Stars couldn’t even make the playoffs on a stacked team

Would have preferred doing a 4 year deal at 2.75M a year than a one year deal. Oh well, as some said this might be better if we try to trade him at the deadline.

This could be on the player and his agent too

Yes, could be. Also it's 1 or 3 years, which would lead to more contentious negotiations. Still, there's little room for this move to pay off for us. Either Armia continues durdling as a 20-30 point player and who cares, or he explodes and all of a sudden we have to pay him. Frustrating.

The stars don't have a stacked lineup. They have a stacked top line. IMO, if Nill were smart he'd make a move for Pacioretty.

Nice thing is if he lights it up, we can always trade him for a nice package of picks and prospects......that’s IF we want to trade him.

I really do t see this guy fetching more than 5m$ if he goes on some sort of tear

Why are we already talking about trading someone like Armia? Armia is the type of player we should be keeping, Byron/Shaw and obviously Pacioretty/Alzner/Schlemko/Benn are the ones who need to go if possible.

He's 25 and we are rebuilding. It could be worth exploring if we can get a late first for him if he's on pace for 45-50 pts.

We shouldn't really talk about keeping players either. We have no idea how Armia is going to gel with the team at this point.

Yes, you are right! If this 16th overall 6'3 right winger who plays good defence & can score doesn't gel with a brand new team within 40 games we should trade him. This is how you build winners.

Nice deal.

I think he may be a 20-20 player next, perhaps more.

And at 20-20 he might be our 3rd or 4th best scorer... :scared:

The way MB ran this organization last 6+ years, Habs wouldn't be winning cup with a lot of other additions let alone adding a 70+ point player like Radulov.

Guess that's why he doesn't do anything worth while:

Step 1: look at potential positive move
Step 2: Analyze if we'd win cup with this one move
Step 3: If no, forget about it
Step 4: Repeat until demise.
