I'm slowly coming around on this one. While it's not a good idea to tie in so much money in our goaltending (Murray + Forsberg + Gus) especially given our internal budget, the problem is not so much with Forsberg's contract than with Murray's. And if Murray is eventually LTIR'd or bought out, which seems an inevitability at this point, then having Forsberg as our #1 will be important insurance. We don't even need to carry 3 goalies at the NHL level or risk losing Gus: just send Murray down any time all three goalies are healthy, at least until the eventual LTIR or buy out. What an expensive mistake!

We are still trying to undo the awful off-season Dorion had a couple of years ago (Murray signing, Stepan, Duclair, etc.).
