You sure? How are they going to fit 4 max contracts? GSW only makes it work because Klay is on a stupid cheap deal and KD takes 10 million less than he could. Dont think Kyrie or Davis are interested in doing so.

Tatum, Brown, and Smart's salaries match up with Davis so it works if that's what they were willing to trade and if the Pelicans like those players. They might want to move one of those other big contracts though because otherwise they'll likely have a large tax bill.

they can make it work but it would be expensive. hayward or horford could be traded in a separate deal. though the former would need some heavy spicing for other teams to accept him. horford also has a player option this year that he might or might not pickup.

Earlier today I saw people wondering what Rich Paul's next move will be. It turns out bringing Anthony Davis Sr. into the mix may have been it. You just know LeBron is sitting there salivating at the thought of dunking all over Danny Ainge after his comments a few weeks back.

I don't know about his heart and soul, but he definitely gave his hip to the Celtics

What exactly does Davis Sr. think the Celtics should've done with a player that's now been too injured to be an effective NBA player for the better part of 2 years now? Used up valuable cap space by re-signing him to a long term deal?

Davis Sr. is basically condemning Boston because they've demonstrated excellent asset management

That's true, not only that but they sent him to the best contender in the East. It just happened to be a horrible fit + not being fully healthy.

That being said, considering what he was doing in the community and how much he loved playing there and the fans loved him, they still did him a little dirty.

Let's not forget he was still mourning the death of his sister as well.

Not picking up the phone at first was dumb but I don't blame them for not bothering to counter this crap. You usually want to start low in negotiations but in this case the Lakers don't need to play games. Just let them pick whatever they want and make the deal.

pretty weird to be honest (if these reports are true) sounds like the pels might be throwing this stuff out there to see if other teams try to jump into the bidding

the tweet about KCP just screams "hey look everyone the lakers are run by klutch sports." also, this tweet is 100% true

shams and woj have been pretty unreliable during this entire AD thing. i mean, woj has to be a boston homer since he's with ESPN now so that ones no surprise

As a fellow Laker fan I just know this process is going to be an absolute shit show for us with the amount of BS going on behind the scenes coupled with the sketchy media reporting. Hoping it ends soon.

i would accept giving up ball for davis any day

davis would really make LA dangerous which is what we need as fans. NBA right now is one team. Golden State. They need multiple super teams, not one.

What is it about this league where teams could offer a whole country and still be considered "underwhelming"?

Davis is gone no matter what, so getting Kuzma, Lonzo and a 1st pick is one hell of a complimentary prize imo.

It's a good start, but you definitely have to push for as much as possible if you're the Pels. The Lakers need to get this done now, and the Pelicans can hang over their heads the threat of waiting until July.
