The bloom is off the Lokti rose at this point, he's done absolutely nothing since his first dozen or so games.

IMO we can't draw any conclusions about anyone's play under this coach, especially the young guys. We have players like Elias, zajac, and henrique who are on pace for 30 points. And we are expecting guys like lokti and teddy and Larsson to look great? Yeah right. Just another reason why we need a fresh perspective behind the bench. Because it's completely tainted right now.

DeBoer needs to stop changing the lines so much. Tweak in practice and see if some chemistry happens... then leave everything unchanged for a game. Let guys play together and try to get it together.

Yeah, seems like he's hoping three guys have instant connection like CBGB did. Reality is players need lots of practice with the same guys for a while before finally clicking. CBGB were a rare exception.

Yeah, if a line doesn't work for a period, he changes the top 9 guys around. Can't do that.

He only changed lines like once or twice for the first 3 games and they weren't winning and there was horrible defensive zone coverage so he started shuffling and now he's in a flat spin heading out to sea.

Schenider gave the team a chance to win against Vancouver and Winnipeg where they were outlpayed by a large margin...Brodeur was the exact opposite in some of these games where he gave the OTHER team a chance to win.

If everyone else didn't see this exactly, I don't know what to tell you. Every goal last night Marty let in was more back breaking than the last. It's hard to play hockey when you know any given shot regardless of how quality of a chance it is, may go in.

Screw this 44/38 crap split we're headed towards. It needs to be 65+ for Cory.

This.

The performance Marty gave us last night was nothing short of sickening.

We needed that win more then anything and he went 0 for 2 with Ottawa's first two shots, who weren't nothing special BTW. We then pulled a miracle and scored a pair of goals to be one shot away from tying the game and he let's in a ****ing slapshot from the blueline that goes over his right shoulder like it came from Al MacInnis.

I'm sorry, we're in a deep **** ATM and this isn't the time to play people based on feelings and emotions, it's time to play our better players until they're blue in the face and that's how it should be since day #1.

We all love Marty but we love the team more then anything and as of right now, Marty isn't our best option between the pipes, so we need to ride Schneider 75% of the season.

Quality post. 100% agree.

Deboer is too loyal so he will keep playing Marty over Schneider, Volch/Harrold over Fayne/Larsson

Its a joke

Brodeur also does not look good in net, regardless if he gives up a goal or not. He flails around on cross ice passes and over commits when moving laterally.

The 3rd Ottawa goal was just a nice play, and not really Marty's fault, but Marty still looked bad on it with how much he slid to the left. If he had made the initial save, any rebound would have been buried because he was out of the net.

When the goalie, the defense, and 90% of the forwards look like ass cheeks ya gotta wonder if the coach is the problem...Nah, it's just bad luck.

Remember JL? Didnt he shuffle the lines constantly and people on HF cried about it constantly?

Yeah but it worked for him so we were fine with it :P

Go back and read here during February, March, and April of 2010

This board wanted nothing more than Lemaire to be gone.....how quickly things changed 7 months later and have been since

Lemaire changed his ways when he returned to coach after Mac was canned. He wasn't flip flopping the top 6 anymore and guys found chemistry with each other because of it.

I hated his coaching style the year he was here for the full season, he legit bingo balled the lines every shift of every game and it was mind boggling. But when he returned, he did not do that (possibly Lou asked him not to, who knows)

We had the best start in franchise history (32-10) while Lemaire was juggling lines

We've since learned a lot of the downfall the second half of that year had to do with what was going on in the locker room with many of the veterans

It's different when you come in to take a team over that just won 50 games and are taking over a team that has 9 wins in 33 games - you are not going to change a bunch of things up, rather simplify them and move forward accordingly

We do need to go with Schneider 75% of the way, but I doubt it will happen. God forbid Marty goes to Pete and says he's playing poorly because he's not being given a sufficient workload, which honestly I think that's part of the reason he's been playing so badly.

LEmaire is not the freaking answer. enough with him already.

This season? Where we are in danger of losing a Top-10 pick?

F yeah, he's the freaking answer.

He's the quintessential "quick fix" that the Devils *NEED* right now to right the ship before it's too late.

Who is to say that Lou won't tell him to "not do the bingo cage" thing again? I'd rather take that risk then keep losing with Pete.
