Whaddagoal
Junktime season...
That second clip, such a freak skate twist. Can't blame anyone really there, bit of bad luck TBH......
Wonder if we see him out tomorrow...
You mean people are more willing to talk when things go well? Shocking.
Wish everyone played with his heart. You can't help but be impressed what Seney has shown this season for somebody averaging 10 minutes of ice a game and you have to love a player that plays bigger than they are like he does. Last game against Philly going up against Gudas or which ever Flyer it was in a small scrum, was one of a number of examples we've seen this season of him going against somebody bigger in an area of traffic or scrum type of situation like that.
After giving up the goals at the end of the 2nd, the biggest thing I wanted to see was how Blackwood handled the adversity and if he would lose confidence.Even with all the goals against, Blackwood stopped a lot of really tough high quality shots tonight. The game was wide open and he was tested big time.
The first Kane breakaway, nice pad stop, very quiet and fluid. Kane again on the 2 on 1 in the third after Severson misfired on that shot. A couple of slappers from the low slot, very close in. Blackwood faced a lot of rubber tonight. It wasn’t a win where he got a lot of protection from the D.
Also, where I groused about Zacha-Seney-Bratt in the game day thread, that line actually looked super. (1 bad turnover by Z did lead to the Hawks first goal, okay, noted). Bratt had a great game. BUT now let’s see how long, that is - if, Hynes will leave them together.
Why not stick with this line combination until the break at least and see if they continue to look that way? Want to bet if Hynes will do it?
Nice win. Watch the replay until we get up 6- 1 and then turn it off.
Wish everyone played with his heart.
They really need to not play him and just give Blackwood a couple days to watch video after his multiple bad goals against. Playing him tomorrow is madness, I don't care that he played well against them and Keith didn't in their last starts, it's just not right place or time to do it. Might as well have played Keith today if you wanted to play Blackwood so badly tomorrow.
Even if Blackwood had a shutout and only faced 20 shots tonight, he still shouldn't play tomorrow. No need to run any goalie out there on back to back nights at this point in a what's a lost season. And definitely not a goalie that just spent a week on the shelf and would be playing his third game in four days.
Before watching him play, I didn't think it was physically possible to have a heart larger than his entire body.Wish everyone played with his heart.
So in other words, you're waving the white flag on the season.
Why? We can still make a run at the last wildcard. We just need to run the table. Easy as pie.
Heh...
Quality of schedule, quality of schedule..... (in second half of season)...
I'm not giving up on anything yet... There's a chance.... a very smallllll chance.... There is a lot of ground to makeup but, not wholly impossible.
Figure the Devils need 95 points to make the playoffs - they have 37 games after tonight and they need 52 points in those games - 52 points in 37 games looks like 24-9-4. That's a very tall order. It's possible but very, very unlikely.
