Time to give props to the team's most consistent player this season.

its a joke that Team USA didn't even give him a look. Most underrated defenseman in the NHL, easily.

Kudos to Greene for his play. :handclap:

I hope that Merrill, Gelinas, and Larsson become as consistent as him.....well, after they gain experience of course.

I wasnt sure we could post positive things around here.........feels funny

I needed to do this..

that thread was making me sick and I get involved in the negativity too.

I'm looking for positives, and Greene has played good all season.

If only we could clone Andy Greene and have one of him on each pairing, maybe then we could possibly win the Jennings.

He was our best player last year too.

When Greene first came up in the 06-07 season, played well in the playoffs and then struggled the next year or two, I was ready to move on from him stupidly thinking his strong performance was just a flash in the pan

He's been proving me wrong ever since and it's been great to watch another Lou special undrafted FA signing succeed

Notice how Greene isnt mentioned in every post in every thread......because he doesnt make many mistakes.....and thats all people point out these days

Nope. A couple of mediocre games earlier in the season, but zero complaints since then. He's our best all around defenseman. We even suffered when he was out for two months from December to February two years ago. That's when a few people tried to argue with me about Turdlinder being better than him. I then compared our stretch without Greene to our stretch without Tallinder. Let's just say we didn't miss the old number 7 nearly as much. Not even an ounce close.

That is a hallmark defenseman. Notice how everyone in the thread was pointing out Karlsson because of his mistakes, yet he puts up points. Usually it takes a gamble getting points while being consistent at defense. Look at Zidlicky taking risks. But Greene puts up the same points with out the same amount of risk.

And he played horribly by his standards in the first 8 or so games. He had no jump.

Always gotta find a negative in everything right?

Who cares about the first 8 games? He's been red hot for over 2 years now. If that was his worst stretch, have you seen some of the other turds we're icing?

Not being negative. But he's so good that when he plays mediocre to subpar that you notice it.

Speaking of which, Greene's also carrying Fayne's carcass right now too.

Very weak head of hair though. What was that joke that Carter made about something on his head after Greene was making fun of his stache?

I don't really wanna derail this thread by discussing Fayne, but it is pretty sad. Once a very great pairing. It's all Andy now.

It is kind of hilarious seeing all that hair on his face when he needs Rogaine for the top of his head.
