PK ability, fast skater, 40% on faceoffs, not much even strength offense, 4th liner. Sounds exactly like Darren Helm. Someone tell me how he's different.

Meh. Fine depth addition. Would have preferred the 4th for Motte instead that the Rangers pulled off.

For a 5th this is fine. I'm not a huge fan of Cogs these days but it's more depth for the playoffs and gives Bednar lots of options to scratch guys who aren't playing great.

Seems like the Avs are just covering for potential injuries with this move.

Not that I hate Cogliano, or anything, but does he beat out the current 4th line wings?
