When he was 'on' he was a valuable asset. It just wasn't enough of the time. Would he be better than PAP, or Bourque? Maybe. At least he was willing to hit from time to time.

He's by no means a saviour, but if you can get him on a 1yr contract for no more than a million, he'd be able to cover that left wing till our prospects start maturing and slowly start pushing him out of the line-up. If kids are not ready, sign him for another 1yr contract if you liked him, and so on and so forth

He will sign with Toronto, book it. Babcock will assemble a rag tag bunch of veterans to band aid along while the younger players get experience. Toronto will be the hotbed of recycled vets/oversea players wanting another shot.
