Nice! I'm really interested in seeing how Johnson does. :)

I'm more than interested... I've been waiting a long time for this moment... :)

Yes definitely. Was just reading his team (Frolunda) in the SHL won the championship and he had quite a solid season.

He's got less points than last season, but has focused all year on being better defensively.. (not that that was already a problem with him, but he knows what Babs wants and expects.. and his offensive side is already above average..)..

So are the Marlies going to play the Marlies in the final?

LOL! With these new additions.., the Leafs (without this season';s call-ups) would have a very hard time beating these kids..,

I'm not sure these two guys will be doing much, other than learning the routines.. and providing emergency back-up for any possible injuries... Only Keefe knows that, for sure..

But..., just in case..., here's a window into one of my FAVORITE Leafs Prospects.., who I have been waiting for to come over and join forces with the Marlies and the Leafs..

This kid has consistently impressed me, for the last four seasons..
(although he's not really a kid anymore.., as he has been playing against Men..
for three seasons, now..)

Pretty exciting news. I know it's a tough playoff series ahead but, hopefully he gets out there and can just see how Johnson does.

Will be good for Dermott as well to get some practice time with the Marlies.

Will watch from the pressbox with Nielsen unless injuries dictate otherwise.

Are you criticizing something I made a mistake with, in some kind of rude way..,
or are you alluding to something else..?

Extrapolate...

Last season he only played 30 games.. 25 points..

This season... 52 games.. 44 points...

His average is less.., but he was used on the PK more.. and played stronger defensively..

So excited to see Johnson, been waiting for this for years. I've watched enough Frolunda games this season to see how much better he's gotten just this season alone.

I really hope he gets in a few games, his style will fit perfectly on NA ice. Favourite prospect after Will Nye and Mitch.

Really excited about Johnson, also have been looking forward to this moment for awhile. Leafs scouts got some really great intel that his bad performances in his draft year were because of bad asthma that was being rectified. Another solid 7th round Tommie Bergman special.

Johnson might surprise a LOT of people, next season.. I wouldn't be surprised at all, to see him make the Leafs roster..

where are you getting this 25 number from? Or the 30 games for that matter?

last year 35 in 55, this year 44 in 52. That's why he responded saying he learned 44 was less than 35.

This year was his career year in points. Human error happens no worries

Dermott will play.

I think that he might get a game or 2 assuming the Marlies go 3+ rounds and run into injuries, but I can't see him being anything more than the 8th dman. Brennan, Campbell, Carrick, Holl, Loov, Percy, Valiev are ahead of him in the Marlies depth chart. He might be more likely to get in a game than Kolomatis or Neilsen, but that's about it.

Why? How?
Neither of them were on the clear day roster.

Players in Europe/CHL don't have to (can't) be on the clear day roster, they are still eligible for the AHL playoffs. That's why Dal Colle was able to play for Bridgeport despite spending the year in the OHL.

Don't expect Dermott to get many games, if any at all, unless there are injuries. Johnson however should get some good playing time.

The Marlies are currently healthy and deep. I'd think that Johnson's chances of playing are much higher considering his age and coming from a pro hockey league.
