With all our cap space we could be collecting a bunch of 4rth, 5ths, 6ths but we already have a lot of picks. Wouldn’t mind us helping for a mid pick just to dump Alexander so we can sign Suchanek though.

Anyhow, good job PV… maybe he’s getting better at this in his second deadline. I was hoping for a Huuhtanen prospect since Sergachev is out but a third is what I expected with retention. Otherwise we mind as well kept him for Mintys sake if it was for less.

Lyubushkin wasn’t great but he fit the team well. There are only 3 right handed Russian dmen in the NHL and we were fortunate to get one of them for Minty’s rookie season. He might not be the most talented guy, but you never had to question his effort. The guy took a beating on a nightly basis and wasn’t scared of anything.

Well the only 2024 3rd the Leafs have is the Islanders’ pick, which will probably be higher than the Leafs’ 3rds in subsequent years.

We already have 3 picks in the 3rd round this year, and all of them are going to be pretty high 3rd rounders. I can understand not wanting another that’s going to be lower.
