McKenzie: "There's obviously been a breakthrough of sorts. It's expected to be a three-year deal for Nick Ritchie, assuming it gets consummated here in the next day or two or three."
3 year deal assuming what gets consummated?
Oh boy!
It's gonna be around $3M per for 3 years. Much like expected - don't know why it takes this long.
3 year 6 is alright.. i think hell trend up a bitI'll be surprised if Ritchie gets 3M at this point. ~25 point winger RFA's don't usually get that much.
Josh Anderson deal (3x 1.85) is a solid comparable, after a season when he had 17 goals and 29 points. Both guys bring that size.
Factor in cap going up and it'll probably be ~2M.
Please dont over pay him

but anderson is a 4th round pick 6 years ago and Ritchie a 10 overall 4 years ago he probably think he as a much higher ceilingAnd the Ducks didn't wait this long to give him what he wanted.
Granted, the injuries might've worked in Ritchie's favor, i guess we'll see.
FWIW Anderson held out for a good while as well.
Finally fans of soft lineup teams like Toronto and Vancouver can stop with the trade proposals for a little

ok? Leafs have enough third line grinders. We got a much better one than Ritchie in Zach Hyman.
