......Ritchie should only get like half that, and his situation really has no bearing on Nylander's at all.

I know and I know.
Idea is Ritchie getting overpaid and Nylander still sitting on the sofa while the Leafs pile up so many goals.
Leafs could easily set a franchise record for goals scored in a season without Nylander this year.

but anderson is a 4th round pick 6 years ago and Ritchie a 10 overall 4 years ago he probably think he as a much higher ceiling

Draft status should have no bearing on how much money you make outside ELC's. If a GM gives xtra money for where you were drafted 4 years ago he should be out of a job.

There shouldn't be any way in hell Murray gives him anything more than 2.3
Yeah, my thought is probably 3x3. Teams have been paying a little more than 100k per point in recent contracts, add in some value for hit physical play and an AAV around 3 million is pretty much market value.

Is there a huge push for teams to trade for this player? He's been a pretty big disappointment, imo.

He’s been horrible for the minutes he’s been getting. As a first round pick he’s almost in bust territory.

yeah... no way in hell Murray gives him more than Kase. My guess is 3 years at 1.65. I have my frustrations with Murray but he's a damn wizard with RFA deals.
