The indictment for GMKA is not recognizing that pace of play is the key to success and not making changes sooner. Whatever happens this season, hopefully this is recognized and addressed appropriately.

Don't bring in/back veterans that are washed.

(Forgive me Kyle, I like you as a person/leader)
The obsession some of you have with blaming depth guys is something else. We played with speed and attacked like crazy last season with Okposo in the lineup.

But this season we ended up where we are because our top players (Tage/Tuch/Skinner/Cozens/Dahlin/Sammy/Power) were not good to start the season. You really don’t have a chance at success when your top line, #2 center and top 3 dmen are simultaneously struggling

Okposo was not the issue. Tage on pace for 28g and 57pts after a season putting up 47g 94pt is the issue (one of them).

One could argue that Thompson's lack of production is due to the lack of speed in their attack. Entering the zone, curling back to the perimeter allows opposing D to face the attackers, give up long shots and clear the front of the net. They also can pick off predictable D to D passes for odd man rushes.

Now they are getting burned by speed and all of our skill players are starting to shine.

This isn't all on Kyle, or EJ, or Mitts... But they don't play with the pace needed to keep opponents on their heels. Bo is a big factor, but the whole team is benefiting from this approach.

The EDM game should not have been close, we could have scored 6 easily. The 7 goals against DET were not a fluke.

Part of the curling back is also a lack of willingness to cut to the inside and go toward the net. That's not a speed thing, that's a lack of willingness to get bruised to get quality shots.

Respectfully disagree. Hitting the blue line with speed opens up lanes to the net. Stepping into the offensive zone and then trying to go to the net is a painful endeavor.

Watching guys with speed curl to the boards for years with this team. It's not just about speed. When guys like Peterka and Krebs and Quinn Cozens and even Tuch are doing it regularly, there is a deeper issue than just having some more quick guys to open a hole.

I really liked mitts but he would often skate into the corner on zone entry

It’s a tall order but they need to win the next 2 in regulation to have a chance.

I pray they don’t end up with a bad ref called game that costs one of these games

A lot of the teams involved are in action tonight. A regulation Sabres win and some luck on the out-of-town scoreboard, and the standings could look intriguing by tomorrow morning. I'm cheering on from the other side of the continent.

Appreciate that, expansion brethren.

Buffalo is better than NYI, Detroit, Washington and Pittsburgh.

But can we do it? Beat Detroit next and I think we could do it.
