I'm not as sour as most on management yet, but isn't the non-answer thing basically what Gillis/Gilman were doing (and what other GMs do around the league too)? We're so used to the GM saying exactly what he thinks that we've forgotten what the typical one does. He's not showing his cards because he's not giving other GMs leverage.
While completely true, Rutherford is unafraid to talk a lot of shit so there’s an internal contrast and a perception of different messages.
