In three playoffs under my direction, including this one, my Canucks have gone 24-16. However, my predecessor had playoff success, including a Cup in 1999-00, so I suspect the team's overall record is better. Five series wins, two losses, one obviously to be determined.

As a GM I have only 4 seasons of playoff action to point to after the league's 10 seasons (the first three were with Washington, although the second season (2000) will always have an asterisk in my mind...).

IIRC, I have 28 wins and 22 losses to my record. I had good runs with Washington in the league's first season, losing in 7 games in the Conference final, and then as Columbus losing only 3 games en route to the SCF in 2006 before getting smoked 4 games to 1 by the Sabres.

The other two appearances were both first-round knockouts, in 7 games to Detroit in 2005, and 5 games to Dallas this year.

I took over the Dallas Stars in 2005-06 where I didn't make the playoffs.

In 2006-07 I made the playoffs and made the cup finals

In 2007-08, I won the cup

This year, 2008-09, I flamed out in the second round.

Overall in the playoffs, I'm...

33 Wins - 22 Losses

8 series wins
2 series losses

Well, can't say I'm overly proud of my playoff record given it is now <.500, but it would seem I might just still have the career playoff record for wins just the same.

The Blues overall playoff record over the last seven seasons is 41-42. The 9-15 record over the last three seasons as President's Trophy champion in each of those years is the most disappointing aspect of it all, as it seems it was better for the Blues to be underdogs, as it has been for most playoff teams in the HFNHL.

Including this season, my record in the playoffs is 24-24.
- I didn't make playoffs in 2004 an 2006.
- In the 2002 playoffs there was some sort of error in how the playoff brackets worked and I faced the eventual cup winning first ranked San Jose in round 2 instead of the 3rd ranked Kings that I should have faced. Might not have made much of a difference, but maybe an extra win or two.
Of the four times I've made the playoffs, I've been eliminated by the western conference team that went to the finals three times(San Jose in 2002, Detroit in 2003 and Dallas in 2008) and the team that won the Western conference.

00-01: Bruins went 3-4 ( lost to Sens in 1st round )
01-02: Bruins missed out. 11th finish to regular season. Worst year.
02-03: Bruins went 2-4 ( lost to Philly in 1st round ).
03-04: Bruins went 8-9 ( lost to Sens in conf. final ).
05-06: Bruins went 6-5 ( lost to Sabres in 2nd round - this was the team that remains the all-time HFNHL regular season points leader with a record of 59-14-9 and 128 points ).
06-07: Bruins missed out. 9th finish to regular season - just missed by 1 point. Rebuilding.
07-08: Bruins missed out. 9th finish to regular season. Rebuilding.
08-09: Bruins went 3-4 ( lost to Sabres in the 1st round ).

So - all in all - the team has gone 22-26 in the playoffs, and has made the playoffs in 5 of 8 seasons under GM Kruegs watchful eye. Thats not great - but neither is Budweiser, and people still drink it.

Rumour has it that GM Kruegs is looking for a goalie. GM Kruegs promises to not talk about himself in the 3rd person during any negotiations. So drop him a note if you might be interested in making a deal.

Well ... hold on there a second. Of course this sort of thing comes down to years in the league and I've seen some better winning percentages. But for us lifers I got you beat.

Despite missing the play-offs and not knowing what the 2000/01 or 2001/02 record was (though it was one of those two years you and I met with the Wings going on) I've already got a count of 40 playoff wins.

2000/01 ??-?? (Conference finals?)
2001/02 ??-??
2002/03 15-13 (Cup Finals)
2003/04 06-07 (Conference finals)
2005/06 03-04 (Darn Wild came back fom a 3-1 deficit to knock me out early)
2006/07 10-06 (Conference finals)
2007/08 06-05 (Dallas, or should I say Kipper, took out Wings for 2nd year in a row)
2008/09 00-00

After adding in the info for the first two years I'm fairly confident it will be >50 wins

In 2009/10 Lidstrom will finally get his HFNHL Cup ;)

I was in the playoffs at least one of those years, and I think I won a series too, so I'm not sure what my total would be including those years. But hey, my 42 losses are also the highest, so I'm not exactly bragging here.

Under my direction the Thrashers are 0-0 in the playoffs. I am cleaning up the mess of a former GM who dismantled the team in order to win the cup. So my team does have a cup in it's history, Kind of like the Tampa Bay Lightening now that I think of it.
