The Georgia fanbase is losing its collective shit over 2 transfers and 4 juniors declaring early. It's like they forget that recruiting top end classes usually means you're going to have a good amount of three and dones.

They better get ready. Next year is going to be way worse. They could be looking at losing Fromm, Swift, both starting tackles, a starting WR, a starting LB, and a DL or two from the 2017 class.

We just lost five & the fan base is going nuts. Three of them were fourth year juniors though. The other two were juniors & likely will be day two picks with one of them being a running back in Miles Sanders. Some people just don’t understand it’s not bonafide first round pick or staying anymore. These kids know they’re on a running clock.

PSU and Georgia are two schools that have just recently gotten back into the thick of things (meaning elite college football programs), so I understand it to a certain point. Alabama and OSU have been dealing with this for the last 5+ years. High end recruits come into school with a 3 and out mentality, and if they get even a decent grade as a junior, they're out.

In Georgia's case, they're actually looking at upgrades in most of the spots they're replacing. Nauta going pro is the only one that hurts, but that's only because his heir apparent also decided to transfer.

This is the reality of college football these days if you're a high end program. You're going to play a lot of second year players and even freshmen. Alabama and Georgia were the two youngest programs in the SEC this year.

Talk about pumping your own tires. Alabama puts like 500 offers out a year (obviously, 90% of them are not committable). Venables is trying to act like they pull a bunch of two stars and coach them up to ACC champions.

Their whole DL was pretty much recruited by everybody. They have two 5* DT’s in Wilkins & Lawerence. That’s not an easy position to recruit as there isn’t enough to go around & they pulled two of them.

They definitely do take more project recruits & allow them more time to develop than say like Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, etc. but they still do get a good amount of legit dudes too.

Hilarious story about the woes and gnashing of teeth concerning the lack of ticket sales, depressed prices, for the upcoming Bama-Clemson game.

How Alabama-Clemson IV became the coldest ticket in College...

At one point, the cheapest tickets for Monday’s national championship game had dipped below that of last week’s Penn State-Kentucky Citrus Bowl.

linked from story-

Aside from the Bay Area not being a CFB hotbed, there was really no way to predict this back when the site was selected in 2015. But gosh this is hilarious stuff. Two teams being this good, this obvious, and playing against each other so often at the end of the year as such (this is year #4), it's starting to affect rich fat cats in the pocket book. "Ohhh NOOOO! What about my MONEY?!?!?" HA! If I were in the area naturally, maybe I drop $125 via stubhub (on an upper bowl seat orig near $650) to catch a game, but now, f*** those clowns, and the selection committee for a boring season and myopic determinations.

The tickets prices have very little to do with the matchup getting stale.

Joe Schmoe just isn’t going to pay at minimum $1,000 just to fly out here and then have to shell out for tickets and a place to stay.

If this game was in Atlanta, New Orleans, or somewhere similar the ticket prices would be high as always.

That makes little sense. If this were the first time these teams were playing against each other in this scenario, the fans would be on it like stink on poop. Prices are down due to fatigue (of this match-up specifically). They (site-selectors) picked a bad neutral location, and the fan bases are broke after shelling out $$$ the previous three or four years on similar games. If the solution is always to schedule the championship game somewhere within driving distance of Bama, then just say that. If you gotta split the difference with Clemson for the foreseeable future, then state that as well.

Had this game featured a blue blood school not regularly in this position, the game would be flooded. It's reported that Bama hasn't sold it's full allotment of tickets, and Clemson just barely. Only 40% of the 49ers STH opted to buy a ticket to the game.

The grand arbiter will be tv ratings. We'll see Tuesday/Wednesday what the ratings are. The game is going against the Flyers, so in this household that's one less tv set tuned in.

Still think the prices are deflated because this match-up is boring. Had Cal (LOL) made it, Oregon, Wash U, U W, ND, PSU, Mich, 0$u, Georgia, this game would be sold out like normal.

I don’t love it because I don’t care about the NFL, but Franklin has even said he wants players to graduate in 3 to 3.5 years by taking summer courses. He understands that pitching a degree to the parents with early entry to “the league” to the kid is a winning strategy in today’s recruiting. Noah Cain mentioned “3 and out” multiple times in his Signing Day press conference.
